Name That Rose!Rose Propagation & Exchange Roses

Looking for a rose

Does anyone know where I can find the rose Monica Bellucci aka Anis perfumella I'm in the United States and can't locate it anywhere. Are there any nursery that would ship it to the U.S. I am aware of Love and the Snowfire varieties but there blooms are not as big.

As @rosecanadian said, what a stunning rose! The snow white reverse in contrast with the crimson is dramatic. I read that it smells spicy! For the heck of it, I just internet searched far and wide but don’t see a US (or Canadian) source. I wonder if there’s a local nursery which carries Meilland roses that could special order one? (A long shot. I know.) It doesn’t seem like MB has ever been offered in the US. I see lots of sources in France, the UK and Australia. I am curious, where did you learn about this HT rarity? Did you discover it while traveling outside the US? Carol

Give Quietness a look at. mustbnuts - I think those are beautiful! Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, as they say. You reminded me that when I have friends smell this rose, some say that it doesn't have a lot of fragrance, which I find surprising because I can smell it from where I am standing while they are sniffing it with their nose buried in the bloom. So different people might experience it differently. Some of my first blooms 4 years ago: In the heat today (close to 100). May 29 this year: May 9th this year they were little pink cabbages that didn't open up more than this. This is typical for the first flush for me. So as dianela says, the form varies a lot. Even the color varies quite a bit.

That’s my kind of rose…`i love a big bold bicolor. This seems to be more a deep pink with lighter reverse, perhaps you would consider Acapella which has similar color and can get big blooms. Or perhaps Osiria, which I think has the richest colors of all this color class
