dry scalp..any tips??

Last August I started with dry scalp...first I thought it was my hair products, mousse and hair spray etc. but then realized it was actually white scaly dry patches. At the time I did go to the the dermatologist...she confirmed it was seborahoric dermatitus (sp?)...gave me a prescription for a gel like lotion in a little bottle to use on my scalp and also advised to use T-Gel, or some type of dandruff type shampoos. So I keep a bottle of T-Gel in the shower and use that. I notice most of my dryness around my hairline and temples. It's not itchy but it's the dry flakiness that bothers me.

i'm not sure if I had posted before about this so forgive me if I've already asked.

Any tips or products that work for you?

I wash my hair every other day. I'm morning showerer and just wear my hair pulled back. I use mousse to help with frizz and a non aerosol hair spray to also help with the frizz. But I don't run the mousse down to my scalp.

I do have a stiff bristle brush that I use to help loosen up the dry scalp before washing it.
