Hello, We are working on Insinkerator hot water dispenser number 3 in 3 years now, when I called to get it replaced (leaking from the cord underneath) they said that as a curtesy they would send a new one for us to install ourselves. We received a gray one to replace the leaking white box. We replaced it following the directions they sent and the insinkerator works great. However, we now have very little water pressure in our faucet at the same sink. We have tried shutting off the water to the hot water dispenser, or turning on or off the various water valves without improvement, taken off the faucet head and cleaning it etc without improvement. I called insinkerator who said if the hot water heater was working. they didn't care about the faucet (literally!) Can anyone help me figure out what is going on? It worked fine before this replacement. Is there some sort of pressure valve that is diverting all the water pressure to the insinkerator and away from the faucet? thanks

One thought on your decision is if the Blanco has a colander etc which you place on the right side of the sink, then perhaps reverse the soap dispenser to the left side. But yes, they drilled my holes all in a row, separated by chosen distances. If the hole size for the hot water dispenser and the soap dispenser are the same, you can always change them out. Don't let the plumbers use plumbers putty on installation of the sink flange or drain. Blanco recommends clear silicone for its Silgranit. Counter tops which etch shouldn't have plumbers putty either as it may etch from it I understand. Sorry, no pictures yet. Excited for you: countertops let you know you're half way there.

hmmm...interesting response you got from jams001. lol Here are your faucets, jane: I wonder if you could find somewhere near you that carries the faucets, so that you could see them in person? I haven't begun shopping for faucets yet, so maybe someone who has can direct you better than I. Sandy

@phemrajani Yes, all faucets must be R/O certified. If you use one that is not certified for R/O use, the pure water will bond with potentially dangerous metals and you will be ingesting all of that! Some faucets have trace (and legal) amounts of lead or other metals that should not be ingested. Regular water will not pull these metals out of the faucet. R/O water will. This is a quote from that article that might sum things up for you so you won't have to read the entire article. “Demineralised water that has not been remineralized, or low-mineral content water – in the light of the absence or substantial lack of essential minerals in it – is not considered ideal drinking water, and therefore, its regular consumption may not be providing adequate levels of some beneficial nutrients.”
