Has any manufacturer researcherd a faucet that might monitor water for bacteria? we have a UV system with filters that pulls the water out of the nearby body of water Although I had it tested when first installed (it passed) I still would like more immediate results

We are in the process of replacing our faucet and so far I have ordered several pull down versions and sent them all back. I much prefer the sperate sprayer but we are installing a filtered water faucet and need the hole. Some were gigantic and dwarfed my 28" sink. The docking mechanisms were fair to good. Almost all required a bulky weight and some don't have magnets. The ones that are magnet only are budget stretchers and not necessarily better quality. Also, beware the size of the hole. We have a 3 year old cast iron sink and one brand barely fit the hoses and the under sink bracket would not fit. We passed on the touchless feature do to many poor reviews on almost all brands a year later. I don't think the tech/quality is there yet and I am not feeling particularly lucky. If you go this route, make sure this feature is warrantied for longer than a year. Most don't. You'll want a longer warranty in general because of the tendancy of the pull down hose to fray. There's no way to avoid rubbing on the water lines because all three are squeezed quite tightly in the body of the faucet.

We went with a Moen faucet (Woodmere - sadly this model is discontinued) when we remodeled our kitchen in 2019. I spent seemingly ridiculous amounts of time researching the best faucet, but it was worth it. Three and a half years on and nary a single problem. It has the pull-down sprayer head (which you will have to pry from my cold dead hands now that I have it) and it snaps right back up like the day we first installed the faucet. We do take care to clean and dry around it (and yes, this is an issue, especially for those of us with hard water - any advice on descaling a Cambria quartz countertop??). I love our faucet - beauty and function. It wasn't cheap, but it also wasn't a $1,000 extravagance, either. Man oh man did I love some of those faucets (California Faucets, I'm looking at YOU), but just couldn't justify it - not with our hard water. I'm very happy with our choice.
