Back of bookcase color
Comments (7)On a side note, I'll now have the crib later today. I'll never again do a ship to store to save shipping costs. I had other stuff I needed and at the time it seemed pracital. When I got word the crib wasn't going to be in as planned (ridiculous), I made a special trip because I wanted something to work on this week. Now it's in. :) Ha, never again. Back to the bookcase, I like the idea of the Manchester with a different sheen. I have some satin and gloss poly. I still also like the idea of the Hopsack too. I don't want to end up with too tight of a color palette but if it's not done right, I think things can start to look disjointed. I do have lots of books to add the case. I'm excited to get them out. I was trying to think about baskets and bins too. I like the look of the lined heavy weave type baskets but it might be better to get cloth or plastic bins. Still leaning towards adding a fluffy brown (faux) pelt rug to the room but I'll have to see as things progress. Stay tuned!...See MoreNeed Ikea curtain hack ideas - curtain mavens?
Comments (19)Congratulations, Deb, on the birth of your first grandchild, Juniper!! You removed the pictures before I had a chance to reply. She is adorable and wow, look at all that hair!! Being a grandparent is THE BEST!!!!! Good luck with the tape you ordered from Amazon. I hope it's a pretty easy way to achieve the look you're wanting. It does make sense to have drapery panels in your room instead of the fabric roman shades as I suggested earlier. It appears to be a large room and of course, as you mentioned, they will help with sound echoing. Please share pictures of the completed project. BTW, I love your wall color as well as the exposed beams you have in your room. I, as well as many others, I assume, look forward to seeing more pictures of your new home...................when you're ready....See Moreguest room idea beachy style wall color and curtains?
Comments (12)nice floors. Is that the quilt you're using? do you want to match it or something else? I'd prob suggest a crisp white on the walls, bring in some coordinating drapes in blue and another accent color, maybe a rug for under the bed. Some artwork, new lighting. your lamp is too large for that nightstand. get something less yellow. Ditto for the floor lamp. the picture you currently have is hung too high. lower it about 10 inches. Or, move it over the desk if it will fit in that spot. some ideas. all of these decor ideas would work w/your space. choose your bed linen first, and work from that. Do you know how to properly do the bed and pillows so it looks good? you may need a few more stiffer pillows to stand up against the headboard. this is the look you want for the pillows If you could swing the white wainscot, the upper wall in medium blue would look great. It's all about the details. look carefully at the pics and what they use. take notice of all of the bedside lamps used in these pictures. that is the size you want....See MoreCurtain color ideas
