Harry...if they listened to Warren and I, the canals would be blocked and filled in. I would also try and raise as much of the interior as I could...with good soil. The outer perimeter is about 6' above that level. Warren and I cannot understand how the mangos have survived down there with their roots in muck/water. Every single one needed propped up with bamboo because the roots just have nothing tangible to support them. I forgot to label one of the pics but there is one that shows nearly an entire row with obvious "empty" mounds. Those mounds were all of the jackfruit that did not survive because of the muck. They got to a certain size and once the roots reached far enough into that slop, they couldn't take it. Notice that the mangrove is growing like a weed though!!!! I'm afraid there is a lot of time and effort to be put into this and the folks are not going to do it. They have nearly as many mangos out there as you do!! What the he!! they will do with that many I don't know. At least they now get that shorter, more compact plants are much easier to care for.

first ... nice to see someone pot up .. and protect ... leafed out deliveries from out of zone ... kudos ... why do you have to wait to spray .... whats wind have to do with it ... take you sprayer to pavement.. fill with water ... and find out how LITTLE pressure you need to create DROPS .. as compared to mist ... also use the adjuster at the tip ... get this.. drops have mass.. and gravity dictates ... i am pretty sure.. even where you are... that they fall to the ground.. rather than blown around the yard ... of course i am not talking gale force winds .... but if i waited for ONLY windless days... i would never get anything sprayed ... ken ps: if i recall... when i fill my sprayer.. to a certain level ... 25 pumps ... gets me where i want to be... and if the tip is properly adjusted.. the handle sorta vibrates .. in other words.. i can tell by feel when i have the right droplets ...

Oh I am all for a good price if I can get one-- but not at the cost of comfort and (for me) security. I love the pella moda pair but wouldn't be able to wear them. The Badgley Mischkas are adorable but I don't see a flat with this dress. I am just thrilled with how perfect the pewter color looks.. it's not what was in my head for "pewter" so I feel a bit dumb. I was shocked to learn that the dress will arrive today. I didn't put a rush on it but it's shipping from a warehouse in a nearby town so woohoo!

I am married to a person from a country in which shoes are never worn in the house. Once the habit is ingrained in you, it's not a big deal. We have hard-soled shoes for ourselves (mine are Birkenstock) that are our "inside" shoes; we kick off the outside shoes and slip on the inside shoes in the mudroom, it's automatic, don't even think about it. His friends ALWAYS kick off their shoes at the door, don't even have to ask, they wouldn't dream of walking around in someone's house with outside shoes. We do have a basket of slippers of all sizes that we put out when people are coming over. My family is another story -- for some of them they just do it, either use our slippers or bring their own, others don't and I don't push it. But, I do go around the house mopping like a mad woman as soon as they leave. Who knows what they've cr*p (figurative and literally) they've tracked in. I never ask contractors to take their footwear off. It is part of their work attire, how would you feel if someone asked you to take off part of your uniform? It's not only for their safety but mine -- I don't want to get sued because they stepped on a nail or banged and broke their toe or whatever because I asked them to remove their shoes. But yea I go around with the mop again ASAP LOL!
