Your rose looks similar to a rose in the Sacramento Cemetery, our found rose, "Dr Peck's 12th Avenue Smoothie" is thornless, once blooming. Very fragrant. This found rose is thought to be the same as the Charles Lawson in commerce. Below is a link to a photo I took in the cemetery a few years ago. I liked this rose so much that I propagated it and planted it in my yard even though it is a once bloomer. It is quite vigorous and now takes up the back corner along the fence. I am new on it and it was my first time starting a post and uploading a picture here, so, as you might have noticed, I had some problems with it! I also was thinking about Botrytis, so it is great that you mentioned it too. Once more, THANKS a lot! PETALOID THANK YOU too, because I think you have identified exactly the rose I posted. I also thought about ´Mrs. Foley Hobbs´ (1910) and ´Souvenir de Pierre Notting´ (1891). There are in HMF many pictures that are extremely similar, but the pictures of ´Mlle. De Sombreuil´ from Jerod are almost the same than mines. If you have some time, please check them anytime and tell me what you think about these other two varieties. ps.: by the way, have you seen the other white blended rose I have posted to identify?. Maybe you are lucky again! :D

Michelle I always reduce my Pics before they go into photobucket because if you have a camera that is taking pics about 2mbs or more Photobucket does nor reduce them small enough. I reduce mine in XP Paint and to a size that will fit on the screen not a size by Mbs or Kbs, e-mail me if you need any help. Now your Rose could be Queen Elizabeth Cheers ...MM

Melissa, I wish I could say I'm 100% certain, but I'm not. Ditto all that Kes said about changeability photos on HMF, etc. I don't currently grow Tausendschoen (with and e, thanks to Ingrid), so I can't pop out and take photos for comparison, darn it. I wish I'd taken more photos back in the day when I grew more roses. A ton of them came from Vintage, so I feel pretty confident the IDs were spot on. I like Comtesse's suggestion, if you're up for it. Single posts do seem to draw more responses. I KNOW there are experienced rosarians on the forum growing Tausendschoen. There's an old thread on the forum (maybe 4 years ago?) where everyone was talking about and, I think, IDing a Tausendschoen. My memory is a bit hazy, but maybe the post can be tracked down for photos and comments from people much more skilled than I. In the meantime, I find "Bristly"positively intriguing! Carol
