Need suggestions on pool layout

last year

We are planning to have pool installed in our backyard but the problem is we have long backyard 60' * 18.3' and we have come up with below design to use the space at maximum. Please suggest if you have any good pool and spa design ideas.

1. Is 30'*9' pool is good enough for lap ? Pool width can be 9' max as we have to keep 5' space both sides. (fyi. I have kids 3 year and 8 year old)

2. spa size is 6'*9' , how many jetts are required for spa?

3. I am keeping pool layout more towards dining area side and not bedroom, keeping 17' deck space. Any experience/suggestions to improve here?

4. What will be the approximate cost to build this Concrete pool ?

Hi Gorilla, The way I planned my pool area was definetly keeping the sun in mind. I would have your loungers facing south so you don't have to keep moving them. I also have my steps and sunshelf layed out so that when you sit or lay you are facing south. I am a sunlover so that was an important decision. As far as the grill area it's really a personal decision but I chose to have my grill area on the shallow end side so that it's closer to where the kids are and less of a walk on the hot cement. @cpartist We live in a really expensive area and are first time home buyers. A tear down isn't in the cards for us. This will not go for that low of a price, but if we can get it for cheaper than other houses in our area and do a few modifications that make it livable, it would work for us. Rents for something like this in our area are around $5500 to $6000 a month, so even this crazy floor plan at a lower asking price would work better for us than renting at this point.
