Ovenbird. Good pic of an often hard to photograph bird that likes to stay in the forest understory. BN

I did have a Chipper nest of 3 Chippers and one Cowbird.....didn't notice till it was too late. All 4 babies fledged. I did notice that more Chippers than just the 2 parents were feeding these babies. Quite a few in fact. SO (not that I like these birds) but it does not necessarily mean all the other nestlings died.

Maybe a Common Grackle? Right now I'm hearing them making a lot of chit..chit.. sounds, alternating with a sort of creaking. Claire

I've helped prairiefirewind with bird IDs in the past, but this song has me stumped. The call comes just after Mom Decorah's first squeeing, very near the beginning and ending at the 39 second mark.
