Samsung French Door-How to remove glass shelf above Veg. Drawer??
Comments (1)From the FD CD manual I'm looking at (immediately above where it says you first have to remove the two drawers), it says you have to tilt up the glass shelf (at the front) before you lift it out. Does that not work for you?...See MoreGE: Tempered fridge glass shelf explosion
Comments (57)my Samsung fridge is like 18 months old. I took out the shelves and set them in the sink the empty sink. The SECOND the shelf touched the sink, it EXPLODED. I don’t mean that it cracked or shattered. I mean it EXPLODED. Thank goodness I was wearing my glasses or I would probably be blind right now. The tiny bits of glass got all over me, my clothes, my hair, and my kitchen. So, I had to clean up the kitchen. Then, I had to strip off my clothes because I didn’t want to shed bits of glass throughout the house and go STRAIGHT to the shower to get the glass out of my hair. Honestly, this is INSANE!!! Below here you can see the sides of the shelf and most of the glass that I swept off the floor. (please disregard the dog hair)....See MoreFloating shelf between two cabinets, no drilling into tile
Comments (21)We figured however we put it into the cabinets, those holes are easier to fill than tile holes. I don't mean to be adversarial, but I disagree completely. Replacing a tile is a 15 minute and $15 DIY job, getting a paint and sheen match on cabinets is something I would not even try and I have years of experience doing it. I would just respray the entire sides of your cabinet as that would take 1/10th the time of trying to match them. However, the problem isn't drilling through your tile and that wouldn't work either. You need to accomplish what you want without drilling through the sides of your cabinets. Which can easily be done. You can make it look like it was a planned part of the kitchen and not an afterthought while preserving the sides of your cabinets. Or something like this.....See MoreRESALE: Open shelf vanity or floating sink for bathroom?
Comments (8)Thanks for everyone's insights here. I'm digging the idea of a console sink with enough space on the edge to hold things and a shelf underneath. I hope I can find one that allows for a floor drain pipe. Is it unusual to have a drain pipe go into the floor instead of into the wall? I'm hoping with a new and bigger mirror and some bright white towels on the towel racks that it will brighten up the deep grey vibe in here. I would like to not have to paint. I think it looks darker in pics than in real life, but pics have to look great when listing too. We have another bathroom on the third floor that is even smaller than this one and is considered the "master" bath. It has a Kohler Memories pedestal sink with TONS of crazing . Perhaps I should get a new smaller sized console for up there too so it has a fresher look. The grey walls in that bathroom are a much lighter, fresher gray....See MoreM M
