Finished Bathroom Pics (two bathrooms!)--very pic heavy
Comments (41)Wooo!!! Cat, I am stuck at home because of the snow storm so wandered around here not looking at anything in particular and came upon your thread. I totally agree with you on the shower curtain choice. Regardless of whether I have the money to spare or not, keeping those suckers clean is a nuisance over time. We have a glass shower door that was installed back in 2003 and I can't tell you how much I hate cleaning it. Not that the door is all that dirty, but a shower curtain is way easier, and you can change the look/style whenever you feel like it. Can't do that with a pricey shower door. Anyway, everything looks lovely as usual, including the "prom" dress :-) Love, love those circular tiles, and the floor tiles that look like fabric. Gorgeous. What colour is that again? It looks greyish on my monitor....See MoreFaucet for bathroom - chrome vs brushed nickel
Comments (14)Well believe or not the fixtures are so $$$ in the brushed Nickle I was shocked. I have oil rub bronze in my perm home With no problems of spots. And I honestly was going for the brushed nickle and somehow this chrome has got my eye since it will have a coastal setting. So I guess I thought I will try the chrome . While I'm crossing my fingers and toes :) faucets / showers have really gone up in price. Those remodeling shows are killing us ! well I picked Kohler Bancroft K-T10577-4-CP. faucet. And K-T10581-4-CP shower head/ tub faucet for one bathroom anyway. I went to take a look at it in person and I really loved it for this bathroom. Master bath. Used Subway tiles in there 4x12. Staggered In between I put a decorative band of 4 x12 black white gray and some white sparkle glass tiles , Thrown in around the tub/ shower area. And around the mirror so I'm hope these chrome figures give some bling. We are on the water. But not ocean. I wish !!!!!!!! Thank you for all the imput truly appreciate it...See MoreCan I see eveyones bathrooms with black hardware and faucets?
Comments (13)And I dry it every time I shower. Same for the sink fixtures. Yes, a lot of trouble but I don't mind. Update: Just had my plumber here to replace the cartridge in the shower (hand-held was dripping). He commented that my drying the fixtures every time has preserved the finish. He says they go in houses all the time where the matte black is marked with white hard-water deposits in six months time. So, it depends on your water supply and your own level of commitment....See MoreMatte Black Bathroom Fixtures - Cleaning
Comments (9)We have really hard water. We have chrome in 1 bathroom and brushed nickel in 2 baths and the kitchen. The chrome looks water spotted and has been a disappointment from that standpoint. The brushed nickel NEVER shows water spots. Obviously, I'm sure they are present as well, but they absolutely don't show. I'm seriously not interested in wiping down all my fixtures everytime they are used. Keeping up with life is hard enough without adding that to the list of chores....See MoreDebbi Washburn
