Dinning Room Table to Compliment these Beauties!

Hello all,

We have been gifted 6 of these vintage chairs. They are high gloss cane with deep brown burl wood.

I am trying to find a new dinning table that will compliment. Ideally 84” long.

I was thinking about Cb2s CONNOISSEUR EXTENSION DINING TABLE but I am not sold on it.

Any ideas!

Oh, this is fun! Here's our dining area- from behind the island in the kitchen. You can see our miniature art collection there. I am so ready for a new chandelier, though. I'm fed up to my eyeballs with cleaning that thing. And from the living room area, our floor plan is really open. Woody just left this morning to go hunting. This is the first time that table's been cleaned off in a long time! I should dress it up but I'm enjoying just seeing a cleared off surface.

I love what u have so far! Great neutral colors. However, I do agree with you the room seems a bit bland as is. U have so many great neutrals. I would suggest getting dark grey drapes to flank either side of the window and accent with golden or teal colors for a bit of pop. The photo above has the warm colored floor and charcoal cabinets, the brass hardware and teal bar stools add a bit of character without losing its sophistication. U could accent with mustard and teal pillows. Do the dark curtain and possibly have a 2nd later under the charcoal drape in one of the accent colors.

What’s going on in an adjacent room? You can relate your dining room to the hall or living room by repeating a color used there. A pretty bowl, a floral arrangement, a grouping of candles, a green plant? I have a hand painted cachepot with an English ivy in it on mine. Sometimes I have a blue and white porcelain vase with fresh flowers but keeping up with them is a commitment .

Your note to me said the “pedestals” are coral…as in real deal coral? Just trying to work with the pieces for you, as the pairing of the chairs and the coral shape are at odds. .Let’s say you used a fabric like this and painted the chairs either black or white, in a high gloss finish. Okay, not a bad combo, but the problem is now the chairs and table do not go in your dining room…everything would have to change…wall color, wall decor (not a huge problem there) and chandelier and a rug. Would the dining room then work with the rest of the house? IMO, the chairs are great…solid, quality and you can still paint them for your room. You can even keep the glass top, but the coral would have to go. It could be replaced with Chippendale base, in the style of this rattan one: eBay for $99.00! Ignore this one below…I can’t cut it out of post.

I find the stretchers on the Connoisseur table problematic. They will be hard on people's shins.

Those are beautiful chairs! I believe they might be from the henredon scene three collection and orginaly sold as a set with a square lacquer table that extended to a longer size rectangle or an oval pedestal table.

I love this dining table from cb2 with those gorgeous chairs. The interesting tambour detail ups the simple design. Going with this stain of oak, because it compliments the color of the cane seats.

Actually I had looked at this cb2 and thought it was beautiful! It only gave me pause bc the color is so close to my floors. I know a rug would solve that but I wish I could see it all together.

Yes! These are the henredon chairs! I think from 1975.

My room could accommodate a round table.
