Exterior paint ideas

Have a small ranch that has bee painted brown for years. She is way overdo for a change. Need ideas based on these factors:

Would like lighter neutral color,

House faces south so the dark colors crack and peel,

Sidewalk are stone pavers of tan, brown and grey?

Roof is tan/brown.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I'd go with a soft sage green, ditch the shutters.

crisp white trim. ... you've got some great color in the landscape, looks good.

Beautiful garden. Have you been to paint store? We looked at the swatches and chose a few then purchased samples. Then painted it on the house in various places in order to choose. My guess is that that would be hard for you since the house is dark… that will interfere with how it looks. Maybe paint a board or something similar to carry around to see how it looks in different lighting.

Hi, I would like to repaint my car door and the bump out of our front windows. Our window frames are brown and will not be changed or painted. The bump out and garage door is a dated worn out brown colour. I recently did my door colour. Any suggestions of benjamin moore exterior paint colours would be appreciated.I was thinking about pulling out a grey from our multi brick colours but am unsure. Pictures are posted in comments.

The garage doors look like black holes, particularly in the first picture. I don't think the eaves need to be painted brown, either. There is nothing wrong with the style of the garage doors, so you don't need to replace them. Paint them a lighter color. Just make sure you know what kind of surface you're painting and prepare it properly so the paint doesn't peel off in six months (this happened to someone I know who used a pro). See if you can find a color for the garage door and eaves that goes with the existing siding. That way you could save yourself from having to paint the siding. I am not 100% sure about the colors since photos can be deceptive, but maybe BM Waynesboro Taupe 1544 is worth a try.

Looks to me like the black trim and windows are too harsh in appearance with the stone & brick. I would consider a softer bronze paint color instead. See the paint and stain on this house below for an example of colors that could work on your home.

I suggest you look at BM Nantucket Gray HC-111. It has as much green as gray. I had it on my previous house. Agree with the comment about removing the shutters. I used BM Natural Wicker (also known as Bone White) for trim. Pure white will look too white against a sage green.

I'm with Lyn--soft, light sage green, hint of gray, since you have a brown roof. Paint door dark red to echo red brick chimney. And yes, remove the shutters.

I'm okay with shutters, but these are too short and too narrow to look right, and missing one by the front door looks odd. Instead, beef up the trim around the windows.

When you drive around, do you see house colors that really appeal to you?

There are lots of exterior colors that will work with your paver stone and roof. I agree with sage greens, green gray, a warm blue gray, and also a buckskin tan would probably look nice. You want to be sure to have colors on warm side of the spectrum.

I loved my house when it was painted Glidden High Tea - I wonder if that is still in the paint matching systems.

Go to the major paint brands websites and use their color visualizer tools to try out various colors for siding and trim!

Agree with gray/green with white trim. No shutters due to window size amd style. Beef up window trim.

Navy door can look nice with gray/green siding.

Loved my 'blueberry' door with my gray green High Tea. Certain shades of dark red also look good.
