I'm a KD since the mid-80's. I wouldn't say they are lying. Cambria wants to maintain more control over their tops by doing their own fabricating. That is not necessarily a bad thing...witha all the fly by night fabbers out there. However, I have a great fabricator and would rather HE do it for me. I does take a bit longer sometimes and there is issues with my customers previewing slabs (yes, some people still want to pre-view quartz). Fabricators probably do make a little less on Cambria since they are really only doing the templates and installations....but not the sales people...at least in my area. Cambria has been shuffled around to several different fabricators in my area over the years....so yes, I think there is some truth to fabricators having issues with Cambria. There is also probably some truth to the warranty issues. Cambria has 'pooling' issues with several colors. Many people do not like this effect.

We are getting quartz in our kitchen.. LG Viatera which is also a Korean company (although they said their quartz is made in America). I read some reviews of quartz online and everyone seems to be happy with it... doesn't require re-sealing, doesn't get messed up (unless you're REALLY hard on it), etc. I'm sure there are people here who have real life experience with it. Hanwha has some nice colors... I have seen Caribbean Blue with allen + roth (Sage Surfaces) but I have never seen Monet with the other manufactures. Very pretty.

i had Montauk counters installed in early January and by March, I had llittle brown staining all around my sink area. we are super careful with hot items and never put hot pots or even serving dishes down. i have been rubbing dawn dish detergent on the stains which helps a little but they are still peristent. so dissapointing at 2 monhs to have staining!! has anyone else had this problem with Hansstone???

May I ask what black you went with? Did you go with Tricorn? Did you test out/consider as many blacks as you did whites? We did our powder room trim in Onyx but that room has zero natural light. Debating whether to just do the same in the kitchen or if we have to test out blacks! 😒 we are doing island & range hood black and cabinets white - the front runner at the moment is CL. Would appreciate any experienced input.
