A gift question. Advice, please

My father passed away about 8 months ago. I've shared in the past that our relationship was not great (to put it mildly) and his relationships with my siblings, even worse. Later in his life, he developed a fairly close relationship with one of my cousins and their spouse. This cousin has been acting as executor and helped to set up a very small celebration of life that will take place this summer.

I'd like to get them a gift, to show my gratitude. Is this appropriate? If so, what sort of gift would you suggest. She once admired a pair of earrings I was wearing and I was thinking of ordering them for her and maybe a nice bottle for him?

Reading the etiquette thread makes me, once again, aware that I was raised by wolves and everything I know about etiquette, I've had to ferret out for myself. I am someone who likes to do the right thing, but I have a hard time sussing that out. Any guidance is appreciated.
