Is Crossville Savoy Hexagon of decent quality for bathroom floors
Comments (2)I have Crossville Savoy in my kitchen, but on the backsplash. It seems very durable, but mine is a high gloss finish. I imagine it would be very slick when wet, so I would be careful to have a rug or mat by the tub. Or does it come in a matte finish too? I would think a child's bath is fairly light traffic. My kid's bathrooms are on the second floor, probably rarely see shoes and would have minimal dirt tracked that far from outside anyway. I think you'd be okay as far as traffic level....See Morehexagon bathroom tile installed incorrectly?
Comments (30)Yes. I think I do like it now. I went as far as I could on the left side before hitting the diminishing tiles again. Now thinking how hard it will be to remove the individual tiles. Live and learn. Thanks!...See MoreAdvice needed for 12' x 7.5' bathroom floor tile and shower wall tile
Comments (25)Home Depot is the only place within two hours that sells the pre-fab, and the colors are horrible. I need three bathroom countertops, and the largest is 52". I should be able to find remnants, but I can't even find fabricators who have remnants. Nobody has a website and the fabricators don't advertise, at all. I found six places in Tulsa, but none of them have quartzite remnants. I can only find stone suppliers. I will make a list of suppliers this weekend, and call them on Monday. Maybe they have a list of fabricators near me. Even Google maps didn't have anyone listed near me. They didn't have the two fabricators that are a half hour away from me. What is your opinion on glossy vs honed in a bathroom. My kitchen has leathered Sea Pearl quartzite, and I love it. I prefer matte colors usually, but I doubt I would like leathered bathroom countertops....See MoreGlossy floor tiles and matte wall tiles in bathrooms
Comments (5)Design-wise, it just depends on how it looks. Usually it's shiny on wall, matte on floor. But it doesn't have to be. Show the tiles you're considering and...well, people will probably STILL ignore your request and keep saying it's too slippery and not answer your question (even though you are aware of that and I think it is safe to assume you will not use it if it is not suitable in that regard)... anyway show the tiles and see if that helps people decide. There are normal things that are done, and you're not doing it the "normal" way, but that doesn't mean that your particular choices don't work that way....See MoreC F
