Hoss Is Back In The Hospital
Comments (20)Glad Hoss is home!! Could have gotten out of breathe just thinking about how scarey it can be (like panic attack but shorter) then you settle down when nothing happens & are OK. You should have blood pressure machine so you can take that & it gives heart rate Omron makes a good 1 about $70 I think. I have 1 that is plugged in wall(electric) folks each have 1 that is battery operated & they work just fine. Get kind that goes up arm. Drs. out here don't care for wrist ones. REason I suggest it is so you know his heart rate if he gets out of breath & smart to keep eye on BP so it doesn't go nuts. You would have info to tell dr. then so he could better tell what is going on. GF had to have pacemaker about month after bypass but she is only 1 I know that had to have that. Maybe I didn't explain that well above. My dad will get short of breath when his BP goes very high-like 200 on top 100 on bottom & he needs bp pill right away, he is very salt sensitive so had to cut way back on it. When the pill works in about 30-45 min. then his breathing is fine, until then he kind of tries to gulp in air. (We used to race to hospital but learned to handle it at home)WalMart has that brand of BP machine. They are easy to use just don't take for 30 min. after eating or it screws up reading.(tells you that if you read directionsLOL) Jan...See MoreBack from hospital
Comments (4)Good for Amy. What a brave girl. Tell her to take advantage of all the sympathy -- milk it for all it's worth. Better living through chemistry -- right? You're a good mom. I hope she's back to normal very quickly....See MoreWell back from the hospital this afternoon.....
Comments (17)Leslie, I am about an hour west of Grand Island so a little jaunt for you:) My oldest is at home (5) she has preschool and is a good helper for me and can entertain herself. Also have someone coming to stay today and my mil is coming over tomorrow and after school on Wednesday my mom will come and get Rhiannon for the weekend. We haven't decided but may go for the amnio on Friday and if the baby is ready have the c-section early because of the toxemia and my blood pressure. If I can get off bed rest at 37 weeks I will go ahead and wait for the c-section. We went through this decision last year with Hayden and I told myself that if it happened again I would go with the later date, but that was because of contractions on things that could hurt the baby. Comments (17)My mil is coming over today to help with Rhiannon (5) and Rhiannon is such a good helper, her and grandma are going to make cookies and go through clothes. We could get 6 inches of snow tomorrow through Thursday, just what I need. DH has to be out in it Thursday to supervise a football game. I have been taking my blood pressure with a cuff and it is still high. I went next door to borrow their bp machine and it was 152/101. I am going to call in to the Dr's to see if they can write a prescription so that I can keep track of my blood pressures over the next week at home. I don't want it to get too high and I am 20 miles from the hospital. Then again reading it all the time may make me more anxious, but I would rather have an accurate reading to keep Dr's updated.
