How to spruce up balcony walls?
I wish I could get rid of the outer of these balcony siding walls, but too pricey. So instead I'm trying to figure out how to spruce them up a bit. I was going to just string some lights, but actually the city skyline is all lit up at night and I don't want to detract from that.
I'm going to replace the table with a nicer patio furniture set, and put an outdoor rug down. Looking for year-round and zero maintenance, so live plants won't do.
Just what to do with the walls... (if anything?)

How can I spruce up this garage sale chair?
Comments (17)Cute chair! If you want to save the wood finish and don't want to DIY it, perhaps you can find a refinisher who will come to your home and repair it right there. Our refinisher has told me that if we ever have a small job, he'll work at our home rather than taking it in to his shop. But the finish looks fine on my computer - the back stretchers seem perfect. Perhaps all that's necessary is a good cleaning? I would do as Pal suggests and have the cushions done professionally, but then I don't sew, don't even have a machine. If you go this route be sure to take the cushions in with you as they are, in order to get perfect dimensions. Comments (21)You have an interesting house! But it definitely needs curb appeal. And more than a change of colour. I like the vertical siding but the diagonal siding is dated. I would replace the diagonal siding with vertical siding pieced in to match. I like the idea of black framed windows as mentioned by others. I also like the cream colour of paint as shown by Melissa R. I find the bubble skylight looks under scale for the space it’s in. If possible increase the size and choose a skylight that has straight lines and looks more architectural. 2 years agolast modified: 2 years agoEven if you could you would probably not be able to change the walls and IMO they give you great privacy. As for the walls there are lots of great outdoor art pieces bigger is better and most are canvas or very light wieight metal and no issue with weight for hanging. IMO plants make an outdoor space a lot nicer and why not have them during the growing season to go along with the outdoor furniture you plan to get. I also think you will need some lighting just not string lights 2 ideas for wall art and if you google outdoor wall art there are 100s of ideas

2 years agolast modified: 2 years agoI’d first add your new furniture and rug and then look for something that complements, see below for example. If you search “decorating patio walls“ on Pinterest there are all kinds of ideas at different price ranges.
I like the idea of incorporating greenery (fake if necessary).
Adding tea lights would be pretty
If you have an electrical outlet, a tall fountain would be lovely and the sound of water a bonus.
