How can I spruce up this garage sale chair?
Comments (17)Cute chair! If you want to save the wood finish and don't want to DIY it, perhaps you can find a refinisher who will come to your home and repair it right there. Our refinisher has told me that if we ever have a small job, he'll work at our home rather than taking it in to his shop. But the finish looks fine on my computer - the back stretchers seem perfect. Perhaps all that's necessary is a good cleaning? I would do as Pal suggests and have the cushions done professionally, but then I don't sew, don't even have a machine. If you go this route be sure to take the cushions in with you as they are, in order to get perfect dimensions. And then throw those musty old ones away!...See Morehelp me decide on how to spruce up the living room with curtains

Comments (21)You have an interesting house! But it definitely needs curb appeal. And more than a change of colour. I like the vertical siding but the diagonal siding is dated. I would replace the diagonal siding with vertical siding pieced in to match. I like the idea of black framed windows as mentioned by others. I also like the cream colour of paint as shown by Melissa R. I find the bubble skylight looks under scale for the space it’s in. If possible increase the size and choose a skylight that has straight lines and looks more architectural. I find the bit of roof that kind of overhangs the skylight at the very top is very distracting and serves no purpose. I would cut it back...See MoreHow to spruce up the entryway
Comments (11)We are actually a door glass business! You can add or replace door glass (and/or blinds) to your exterior door for more natural light. We have installers or it makes a fun DIY project too. Let me know if I can help. Good luck! www.zabitat.com Here's an example from a recent customer of ours:...See MorePatricia Colwell Consulting
