Comments (7)Lazy gardens - there is ant much space to widen the sidewalk. We don't mind the walkway for now but we will keep it in mind for future projects! Yardvaak - that looks great! Thank you. We actually just limbed up the tree but maybe should have done a bit higher. Any specific plant recommendations? I guess you tried to draw in crape myrtle on the left? Hedges in front of the door? What specific shrubs did you envision? Also ornamental grass on the corner of the house?? I like the idea of connecting the oak tree with the other bed - nothing is growing there anyways.. other than weeds so maybe some ground cover there, although I cannot decide whether I want pachysandra or Vinca minor there?...See MoreStarting from scratch - please help me with new landscape design
Comments (20)I love red bud trees! I grew up in VA and they are everywhere, I am going to reconsider the small magnolia. Also, still thinking of a crape myrtle. I will not do the dogwood, because they would be stand alone in the sun. My goal is to update the front of our home. I want to add some type of blooming element. I am not likely to plant annuals. I am not a fan of water features, other than maintaining our pool in the back yard. My likes are everywhere - i have even looked at palm trees. I like a reliable boxwood too. Yardvaak - maybe I can get some more photos today. It looks like the rain has stopped! I appreciate the feedback, so very much....See Morejck910
