Help with Media Wall in Living Rm (new house build)

HU-528228756

House is currently under construction. The living rm has a corner fireplace. The 'media wall' will span from the edge of the fireplace to the opposite corner. It is 13 ft wide, 11 ft tall.

Currently the wall is a 'blank slate' that we're struggling ...

We'll be putting a TV on the wall.

We'll also have a stereo receiver in there (with a vintage turntable) along with 2 narrow floor speakers against that wall (speakers are 10" W by 36" H).

We plan on upgrading to a new TV - perhaps a 75" (~66x~40) or 85" (~75x~46).

Concern #1.

At one extreme - most of the consoles we might put under it against the wall seem too small - between about 60" and 76" wide. I think a wider console under a TV like this is probably appropriate.

Concern #2.

The wall seems almost square and even with a larger TV - there's a lot of white space around it - particularly above it. (we'll probably keep the TV fairly low-to-center - like somewhere between eye level sitting and eye level standing...)

What we're looking at ...

Considering a really wide console to go against the wall - wide enough to look right with the TV but allow some open space at either end for the speakers - and a high console (36"?) to help eat up some of the vertical wall space. Selection pretty limited above about 78 inches or so - and with better quality - prices really soar.

Having the builder give us an estimate for stained cabinetry same/similar to what is going in rest of house. Maybe full depth in the middle sections with a combination of cabinet doors and shelves in the middle. At the ends of the built-in maybe 12" deep bookshelves. Could match the granite elsewhere - or maybe just same stained wood as cabinet material. (see sketches below - but ignore furniture placement)

Across the top maybe a shelf spanning the wall for some nicknacks or decorative items or whatever.

Or even a furr down across top to give the wall an 'alcove' affect and eat up some vertical space.

Thoughts or ideas? - Thanks,
