Anyone have any experience with Ruvati kitchen sink brand?
Comments (17)We bought the kitchen sink and faucet set. Now a year after installing we have a leaky hose near the pull-down sprayer. I removed the hose and took it to Lowe's (where we bought it last year) and Home Depot. Neither could find a replacement hose. I call around a few local plumbing supply stores and they recommended contacting Ruvati company in Texas to get the part number. I had to open a warranty ticket to find out they have no replacement hoses and they do not have any information on parts. Sink, faucets and accessories look good, but with the time I've sunk into trying to find a simple part, I wouldn't recommend anything of theirs. Stay with a company that sells replacement parts for what they sell....See MoreElkay Crosstown vs Elkay Lustertone vs Other brands
Comments (59)O.P. here. Wow. So many comments on this thread, even a year later! For the record, we still are really pleased with our Kraus sink and think it provided great bang for the buck. I'm also really glad we went with the single, large basin. The grid on the bottom has also been super functional and useful. Zookeeper - that faucet is the Moen Solidad single-handle high-arc pull-out faucet in stainless. Unfortunately, it is not made anymore; it actually is a faucet we purchased several years ago. I considered buying a new one when we replaced the counters and sink, but couldn't find a well-reviewed faucet that I liked as much, never mind the cost. We did end up getting a part replacement from Moen because the pullout head was a bit loose, but they were great about it and stood behind their product. I'm glad we kept the faucet. You might try to browse eBay. We have had good luck with Moen faucets throughout our house. Like many companies, they might be suffering slightly from the "not as good as the old product" affliction, but overall they are still great, and their faucets don't cost a small fortune. Kohler faucets on the other hand - never again. We purchased a kitchen faucet from them (the predecessor to this Moen) that had a chemical reaction with our well water and leached foam into our drinking water! It was a known issue with that faucet, and the company replaced it, assuring me it wouldn't happen again. Well it did. They sent me the same junk. I was furious and they ended up issuing me a refund....See Morekitchen sink - is Kingston a good brand?
Comments (26)Carisue - as ci_lantro said, I hope you are happy with the decision to go with the single bowl and your husband comes to appreciate it as well. As someone who had a double bowl sink for many years, I could not wait to get a large single bowl when we renovated and would never go back. Such a HUGE improvement. As for no prep sink, your husband could always toss scraps into a bowl if he’s prepping while you are at the sink and then just run them down the disposal once prep is done. As for faucets, the Delta Trinsic is indeed a very nice looking faucet that would go well in a modernish/transitional kitchen since it is a single handle with clean lines. Go look at some in person and see what you like, while faucet prices can be crazy, there should also be quite a few under $300 that would fit well in your new space. If you have a Costco membership (or if a friend does) they have a few Hansgrohe options that are priced very well and would work with the aesthetic you are going for. Surf the Costco site to see what they have, it’s hard to beat the price point and we had one for years in our former home without issue and put another one in when we renovated. I really liked the trinsic but wanted brushed nickel vs chrome and that option (at the time) drove the price up on the trinsic more than I could justify. Then I found the Hansgrohe Lacuna at Costco that came in the brushed finish and with soap dispenser (check out the Never MT on amazon - awesome) for $200 and it was too good to pass up....See Moremy experience franke vs kraus sinks
Comments (27)This is a great thread. We have a smallish kitchen we are now remodeling and I am looking at the Kraus and Franke undercount sinks. I like that the Kraus single bowl comes with accessories such as the dish dryer and cutting board. The Franke single bowl stainless I am considering has the grate insert that can be moved from side to side. For my small to mid size kitchen would the 28 inch Franke sink be sufficient? Or the 31 inch better? We need to conserve counter space that is for certain! Any other opinions on these brands and accessories?...See MoreJake The Wonderdog
