I have Cambria Torquay in my kitchen. It is so beautiful & I could not be happier with it. I too had a terrible time getting my kitchen design place to get a sample so I finally ordered a sample directly from Cambria & it came in a couple of days. Cambria shipped it out the day after I ordered it. It seems that Cambria subcontracts out the job of supplying kitchen design places with the samples & the subcontractors do a really poor job of supplying samples. Cambria themselves were super fast. I had gotten so discouraged waiting for the kitchen design place to get samples that I also ordered samples from Silestone (Lyra & Lagoon) in case I wanted to give up on Cambria. I liked Cambria's Torquay so much better. Torquay's white is whiter instead of being just shades of gray or slightly muddy. It is a very serene design to me. If you have any doubts about what you want and you cannot find a sample, just order a sample. The cost is nothing when you compare living with a countertop pretty much forever. BTW, Cambria's samples are 12"X12" so you get a really good picture of what it is like, not like looking at a 1" square!

Susanne, here is a photo from my local Home Depot. They have a display with Pietra and a full height backsplash. The cabinetry is a creamy white, and they did the side splashes as well. It's indoor, store lighting and no under-cabinet lighting. I haven't been able to decide what to do for a backsplash either. I've been sitting with different tiles leaned up against the wall for almost a year.

Well, this is 7 years after the original post request so probably not relevant for you any more... but I hope this is useful for anybody else looking at the Silestone (Consentino) Blanco City Quartz. We purchased this quartz for our countertops through Home Depot about a year ago in our ADU remodel and we love it! The warm colors work really well with the maple cabinets and terra cotta inspired tile floor. It is warm without being too beigy. It almost reads more as an off-white than anything else. When you look at it up close, you notice all small quartz pieces, color variation as shown in the photo in this thread or in the tiny samples you get from the store. However, as a whole it appears much more uniform and looks great. I think based on the images of the small samples alone, I never would have thought to pick this quartz. As far as the quality, I think it is pretty typical to most others quartz. It doesn't wear or scratch easily; No signs of wear or stains so far and we are a year in. It has a gloss finish and wipes down super easily. It does a pretty good job at disguising dirtiness because of all the color variation. I am posting a handful of photos that hopefully will help to illustrate what it actually looks like installed (mind the cheerios in the sink). Let me know if you need more or want any other tips!

@TerryShields, if your countertop slab is more tannish, in my opinion you lucked out because that is thw color I personally was wanting. Mine is more gray. It is beautiful regardless. Our Lowe's store sample as well as the sample from another place was the tannish I was wanting but when the slab came in, it was the gray. I will also let you know there are white spots of different sizes that were not visible in any of the samples. I would prefer they not be there but what's done is done.
