HELP Picking Silestone Countertop (Unsui / Alpine white/others..)
Comments (9)Thanks everyone for the wonderful feedback. You've pretty much convinced us that neither of these grays will go with our door. Unsui is actually brownish IMO, but if you all saw grayish, it must be for a reason. >>Dianalo--- will absolutely check IKEA. What a deal you are getting! >>Jakabedy your kitchen is beautiful! Thanks for sharing. Love the little glass. Been thinking about that, but seems so expensive. Do you ever get tired of the pattern? The door in the pic was just to show the color, not the style. Style is called Durham. Here it's shown. Durham Door Style/Colour Glad you asked about the floors. It's also going to be wood, maple. Close to the cabinet colors. We got the Travertine at $10 per sq. ft which I thought was pretty cheap. If we go with creamy or white countertops, I don't think the travertine BS will work. I am just afraid if we do white counters, it will look *very* similar to our old kitchen (the one we hated!) :)These are pics from old kichen. We are both clueless I'm afraid. This is terrifying... So here is a summary of where we stand. (1) These are the Grays we were considering (includes UNSUI). (2) These are the White Options (Know will go for SOLIDs, so ignore all the busy ones). If we go with creamy or white, am afraid we'll need a new BS. (3) Two BS ideas + The my bottom CABINETS installed. THANKS everyone! Please send any more thoughts and feedback. Particularly, any good BS ideas that would work with Maple Pralinee doors and whitish/creamish solid counter (or other tones you think might work) This has been extremely helpful. Comments (15)Melrose, I did NOT end up getting the Ariel. It was very frustrating that Cosentino was telling me it was available and that Lowe's should be carrying it, yet every Lowe's said they never heard of it. (This was back in 2015.) Finally, I realized Blanco Orion had the exact same bright white background and same color grey veining, but that it was just much busier. That's what we ended up with and I'm happy with them, but I think I would have preferred the "quieter" pattern of Ariel. Here's a picture that shows my samples laid on top of our actual Blanco Orion counter. Upper left is Lagoon, upper right is Helix, lower left is Lyra, and lower right is Ariel. See how exact the colors are to the Blanco Orion in background? But subtler veining. If you can get Ariel now, I'd go for it....See MoreHas anyone installed Caesarstone Noble Grey countertops?
Comments (64)Lara and CJ, I too searched and wasn’t able to find pictures with brown wood cabinets We went with IKEA’s Grimslov Brown and just paid for our Noble Grey counters today. It will be a few weeks, but I will post pictures as soon as I’m able to. Hopefully it will help someone!...See MoreHome Depot Silestone Install Countertop Experience?
Comments (6)Did you complete this job with HD? I just received a great bid from them (running a 20% discount) and would like to give it a green light. The Tebas Black quartz is actually less $ than Absolute Black granite. I shopped around for several bids and HD is about $1000 less than my best price. Is this too good to be true? I have 3 areas to cover: u-shape, L-shape, and a 60” rectangle....See MoreKim T.
