I don't think you need the over mirror fixtures.

In all of the bathrooms I have remodeled I put sconces next to the mirrors wherever there is room, but I also have a ceiling fixture for general room illumination. So if you can, remove the lights over the mirrors and install a central ceiling fixture. Put it on a different switch from the sconces. Look at semi-flush fixtures on whatever site you like to use when you buy a light fixture. Get a fixture with two or three lights and put it on a dimmer switch. I do think you should try some different sconces as well. The purpose of sconces in bathrooms is to provide lighting for grooming and yours look too dim.

@kandrewspa, Interesting suggestion about changing the sconces next to the mirrors, and I'll consider it although I do really love the ones I've got. Re the ceiling fixture, I do have one but unfortunately it is primarily an exhaust fan with just a small LED light, which I forgot to turn on when I took my photos. I need that fan, and there isn't room for an additional ceiling fixture. That's why I wanted to put in the lighting over the mirrors, to augment the sconces at the sides. I do already have both categories of lighting on dimmer switches; forgot to mention that.

@RL Relocation LLC, for up-facing sconces to go above the mirrors, do you mean something like this or this from Justice Design, or this one from Capital Lighting, or this one from Swiss Passport? Would you place them above each mirror, or between them?

On the whole, the room has enough balance imo, of different shapes and sizes, which seems a contemporary look, transitional. A blending complement with mat and window treatment helps.

I buy canvas art, and it wipes off fine. Even over toilet's ok. I'd try a bit striking, and not delicate, cause lights aren't [delicate]. Here's just idea:

Hi, The over the mirror fixtures look awkward. Do you need the light from them? If you do, perhaps get lighting that isn't so flat. I don't think they enhance the look of your room. (Sorry, but you asked.) I love your mirrors. Were they expensive?

@charmingcottager I think I do need more light. You're right that something curvy would look better with the curvy mirrors, I think. Those mirrors are the Langford mirrors from Costco.
