I was going to make the same comment that the path coming from the parking area seems to be VERY narrow, especially for a house that looks so nice. The path to the front entrance seems wide enough. But the path to the kitchen door seems much too narrow, too. I would NOT make it more narrow or change to stepping stones. If anything, I'd widen it so that it was genuinely functional. Diminishing its quality -- which is already subpar -- is not the answer to getting people to ignore it. A simple gate would be a better solution than that. (I cannot tell you with this drawing what is a really good solution because that area does not show well enough.) I don't hate your large, wild evergreens that flank the front door -- now -- but I'm sure I'd dislike them quite a bit in the future. They seem of the wrong character and size for that important spot. I'd ditch them in favor of some monster color flanking the steps and a couple of nice coach lamps flanking the door. The small trees are made of large shrubs. Something with a major flower show would be good. All matched of course. I would bring a semi-circle of turf in front of the main section of the house. The windows are so low there is not a need for shrubs per se. Instead, I'd use a solid, uniform groundcover to fill in all the planting bed space. It could be Liriope (a single variety) or something even a little lower. Someone had better learn how to properly trim a hedge or it's going to look terrible in years to come.

I am doing the same as DLM. Mahogany door stained on outside and inside. My interior will have white trim. Wood floors and some stained wood stair parts, and other wood accents to pull it together. Or you can paint your interior door.

Your home is BEAUTIFUL inside! What a wonderful job you have done with it! I love the old wooden floors, the crisp white trim, and your modern furnishings. It is lovely. You have done a great job with it. I like the beige/gray walls inside, as well as the gray tones that you have used. Your home could look wonderful painted a blue/gray color, if you want a change. You could experiment with some color on your porch with large black modern style pots filled with colorful flowers. Your yard, as I see it, is mostly paved. So, if you want to bring color there, too, a planter under your front window (with the awning) would be nice. Trust your judgment AND taste. You have both!

Snap a photo on a sunny day then use the Sherwin Williams ColorSnap app to play with the colors. I would select a tone slightly darker than your mortar for the garage door and a color slightly darker than your darkest brick for the front door. I would then on the garage door install magnetic faux hinges and windows; this will add detail to the door, like the below house. I know they can be found on Amazon, not sure where else.
