Black spots on red oak after applying BONA Nordic/Natural seal
Comments (15)This is a newly installed floor. I no longer trust my installer, so I stopped the work and I am now trying sealers on my own. I only sanded the floor unprofessionally, with a small hand machine and a sanding paper, but those marks were not there before, they appeared after I applied the sealer and they go away easily with further light sanding. I never checked humidity, and neither did my installer. But I keep the AC on all the time and the floor is now about 1 month old. I will try to sand and put a second coat and report again ASAP Thank you all...See MoreAlternative to Bona NaturalSeal, Classic or Nordic on white oak?
Comments (31)Carly, please provide source for your floors, exactly what I’m looking for. Also thank you for post and thank you too other posters. I had just had floors done by a floor shop, two years of hospice requires me to redo them, seems a layer can be scraped up with a spackle scraper easily and turned dark ( like cherry wood does in sunlight but this was white oak ). So due to budget going to have to give this a go on my own. These posts priceless. After seeing this post and refinishing parents floor, I want your oak in my house … you did fantastic job....See MoreBona Amber, Classic or Nordic seal on Red Oak with Swiss Coffee walls?
Comments (5)have your flooring person sand one area, and then apply sample swatches of the products you're thinking of. view them during different times of day as the lighting changes. once you picked a product, it'll be easy to sand that sample patch down again to get it ready for the whole job. (just be sure it's the kind of floor that can withstand multiple sandings.)...See MoreLVP to match Bona Nordic Seal on white oak
Comments (5)How are you liking the elandura so far? I’m trying to see if anyone has had the same problem with the floor that I am currently having. I had it installed throughout my entire house a little over a year ago. The salesman really sold me on the pvc free aspect. There were no reviews that I could find as I believe it was a new product at the time. However, if I could go back in time, I would have never installed these floors. The product (well what I received) is defective. I am waiting on response from customer service. Let me know if you have had any issues....See MoreG & S Floor Service
