Long hallway......should I paint the ceiling and walls the same color?
Comments (33)Yes, absolutely. Ceiling does look higher. The whole space feels more open, cleaner, and airy. It's a pleasure to be there, after 25+ years of being kind of a utilitarian space. Comments (11)I think you could, but in our ceiling like that, we painted the 45 angles the same color as the vertical walls, and put the white only on the middle horizontal line of the room. It was shocking at how different the room felt. It was like someone finally got the combo just right. We had a light green walls, with only the white on the horizontal of the ceiling... Blue ceiling are soooo coool! And ....ne'er a spider will make a web there, really! It is crazy but true....See MoreShould walls and ceiling paint be the same color?

All trim should be the same color throughout the house, including the baseboards....See MoreSunshine Anderson
