Comments (27)Jrb, unfortunately not very long. She laid eggs and they weren't fertile. ( She laid one while sitting on my shoulder, and it broke when it hit the floor). Not long after that, I found a pigeon under an underpass that had been hit by a car. He was injured, but recovered, and could fly but ended up blind in one eye. (I think I named him Junior). Anyway, they mated and had 2 babies. Hue was outside and a hawk got her. Junior continued raising the babies. I put them outside in a large cage and began feeding a flock of wild pigeons. When the wild ones were used to coming for food, I released Junior and the babies, and they joined the flock. Comments (25)Annie, here's an armadillo baby that came walking through my brother's yard in Florida, years ago. I was very close to it and it pretty much ignored me. It reminded me of a opossum in it's single mindedness of getting from point A to point B, wherever that was. I don't think they are interested in people, biting or otherwise.
