    Good morning 🤠.

Ooh, slightly different type of puzzle today. Great stuff!

    I already have a Disneyland earworm 🎶

Started off so easy and then I hit a wall! This will take a bit more effort than the last couple.

Fun! I'll have to work on 1, 12, 14 and 15 but I think I have the rest. Or at least reasonable answers for the rest!

This one will keep me busy today!

Woohoo, I dare say, I believe I have them all.🧐

That was a really fun puzzle.🙂

I find this a tough one.

I've gotten a couple more, but some of them are real stumpers!

I have an answer for 12 now, but still nothing for 1, 14 or 15. Hmmm…

  • foodonastump

Gosh I’ve only got seven with confidence!

    ****HINT*****

Lettersatoz, in my guesses there seems to be a lot of British references.

#1 Think of a book title

    # 14 An award

#15 (made me laugh) It seems you either love ’em or you hate ’em. They’re a package deal when you get married.

LOL @15 - I see we gave to think a bit less literally for this one!

Now that I know the answer to 15 (thanks, roxsol!), it is kind of funny in the sense that it's a clever way of getting to that word/phrase - one I hadn't thought of - different than, say, roforkad. And as usual, rox's hint made it even funnier, which is what I'm guessing Foas was lol'ing at.

Still don't know 14 or 1 but now going to chalk it up to being a book and award that I'm not familiar with. Can't say I'm so well versed in Brit Lit. So good, I can stop thinking now. Thanks!

    (edited -- I wrote 15 when I meant 1 as something I don't know)

lettersatoz, I only know #1 as a book title.

FOAS, I guess either spelling will work for #14 😉

I'm not doing very good on this one, guess I'm spending too much time thinking up 5 and 6 letter words. And, if it has a lot of British references, I may as well forget it. So far, I have about half of them.

I think I have 9 of them and not likely to get any more.

  • Rusty

    I now have all but 1, 9, 11, 12, 13, 14 and a headache.

    LOL, Rusty!

    SPOILER ALERT --

For 9, as rox would say, I have an earworm! Think Carpenters, or Beatles.

For 11, I'm guessing this one may trip a lot of people up, because you may not know what a Bren is. So go ahead and google "what is a bren"....then come back and see if you can figure it out.

For 12, I'll go back to roxsol's earlier comment about there being a lot of british references. I think.

For 13, well.....sorry....this might not be the correct moment or the correct forum to help you.

  • blfenton

I had no idea what a Bren is and now I know. That helped, thanks.

Thanks, lettersoz, I now have an answer for 11 and a 'maybe' for 13. The rest are still Greek to me. As is music by the Carpenters and/or the Beatles.

I thought I posted this earlier, don't know what happened to that post.

******Rusty, ignore this if you don’t want a hint 🙂*****

Rusty, for #14 think of a synonym for the word and what it would be like to receive an award. (the light coloured letters printed within)

First off, I need to apologize about my comment for #15 not being humourous. The answers are underneath each of the puzzle, and I was looking at the answer for 18 for 15. I'll leave the puzzles and answers to all of your impeccable minds from now on! Lesson learned.

    1. Three men in a boat

    2. Foreign language

    3. Right between the eyes

    4. Criminal

    5. Fork in the road

    6. Potatoes

    7. Within reason

    8. Missing link

    9, Postman

10 No two ways about it

    11 Son of a gun

    12 Made in Great Britain

Wow I’m not surprised I didn’t do better! Can someone explain 14?

OBE is the Order of the British Empire.

Recipients become knights and dames. It’s quite an honour😉

    Right-o, I got them all.

Thanks, Jasdip. I really enjoyed this one.🤠

Thanks, Jasdip! I missed 1 and 14 as we know (not familiar with that book, and didn’t get OBE - if I were smart, I would have googled that, and maybe I would have gotten to the answer, but I didn’t think to!)

Oh, and I had wrong time, wrong place for 13, but close enough.

    See you Sunday!

I missed 4 of the 18, but seeing the answers, I don't feel bad about it at all! I suppose I could have done some Googling and got a few more, but I didn't. At least my one 'maybe' (for 13) turned out to be right. :^)

WELL HOW DID FLORAL_UK DO ON THIS ONE?

    😂😂😂

  • blfenton

    The ones I didn't get I now understand. But I don;t understand #6. Those are zeros(0's) not O's.

No wonder I didn't get it.

OT Pet peeve of mine is people who say O (OH) as a number instead of 0 (zero).

Lol, blfenton, surely there are some exceptions. 🎶
