Hi, Been getting the ’cartridge 1 empty’ message for a long time, despite being full/new, but it seems to carry on and wash fine. I tried warm water last time and it worked for the maintence cycle. Today the warm water trick didn’t work alone. I had 1/3 cold water, the rest at about 90degC. It was hot, but not too hot to hold in hand. Started the maintenance cycle - when I heard/felt the machine trying to pump water from the cartridge, I put my hand where cartridge 2 would go and pressed/pumped the side of the cartridge. This happens a few times during the 13 min cycle and it worked. I ran the maintenance cycle again without touching the cartridge - it worked on its own. Trying my luck again, I tried a 3rd time - it failed (same cartridge, didn’t refill). Fourth time it worked pumping the side/end of the cartridge. 5th time worked on its own. Spent long enough doing this and 4 cleans should be better than nothing. I’ll have to wait to see if the subsequent washes work without the message ‘cartridge 1 empty’.

While the Lowes washer has "660" in its model number, based on the user manuals it appears to be comparable to the Miele WXD160WCS, not the Miele WXF660WCS. However, there may be no difference in the performance of any of these models. Which model washer do you have? usually in the tray there are three slots marked one, two and a star/flower. Slot 1 is used for the pre-wash, slot two is for main wash detergent and the star is fabric softener. If bleach is enabled then you can not have a pre-wash unless you have a Twin-Dos capable washer. To use the app to control the washer you turn the dial or swipe on the touch screen model a d select the ”Mobile Control” cycle. The push the start button. Now you can select the program and options you want in the app and push start in the app. Once the mobile control app is started on the washer you can use the app from anywhere to start a program. All the communication is between the app and Miele’s servers and the appliance and Miele’s Servers.

Well, they would be on separate "hot" circuits, with a common neutral. A 240 Vac GFCI should be OK with this. The difference is that if one circuits faults, both circuits are interrupted. However, whether the AHJ of one's municipality is OK with the approach is something I'm not qualified to answer. It may depend on whether one is installing a pair of 120 Vac appliances where only a 240 Vac cable is present, or designing for this before construction. In the later case, I would run two cables from independent breakers and feed two outlets, or feed a 240 Vac cable to a satellite breaker box and thence to two outlets. This would provide easier upgrades if a future occupant wanted to use a 240 Vac dryer. Please consult with an electrician.
