What Color Classic Cars

The photo with the green wall is my inspo for my sons room but we have to work with the burnt-orange walls. We are stuck on what colors or classic car prints you recommend?

im into the hunter greens, black and blue? should i add a pop of yellow or red?

Any and all of those cute car print colors would look great. Vibrant colors are wonderful for baby rooms!

Thank you! i proprobably shouldve said we are looking for masculine colors that would last many years for when hes older too.

1. What color is your car? Golden Bronze 2. Is this your preferred color, or did you "settle" for it? That is, if you'd been able to get it in a different color, what color would have been your first choice? This was my first choice. 3. If the color of your car was not your first choice, was your first choice even available for the car? That is, let's say your first choice would have been a deep green. Was deep green even offered that model year? My second choice would have been Red. We bought our Ford Explorer in 2012 and rarely see this color. Never get tired of the color, definitely shows up in a parking lot. Had a red car before this vehicle. Loved it but it didn't comfortably hold the 5 of us. Glad to have a bigger vehicle for the teenagers and all the other stuff I tow around.

How timely is your thread! I'm in the process of doing my car quilt, although it may be a little different than what you had in mind. One of our car clubs hosted "Americruise" this year and last, and I walked around taking pictures of neat, classy cars - no particular model or year - just ones that appealed to me, and color was important. I just this afternoon printed off on fabric, 28 of the best, and I'll sash them with, I think, mottled grey (black might be too stark, grey could represent pavement) and then the border is one of my car fabrics - probably a 5" or 6" wide border. For your quilt, I would maybe fussy-cut the cars, in a sizeable piece, and make it the center of a star block, then use the same fabric for the border? Can't wait to see a picture of what you do. I'll post a picture of mine when I get it together.

Oh, what a day in the computer world. United Airlines had a computer problem and some 35 hundred flights were grounded. The NYSE had a computer problem and some people were not able to trade, Among all of this, the pundits were saying that Google were trying to push their driver-less cars and who would trust their computer cars? I like the idea of driver-less cars, but I'm not willing to give up all my control to a computer. Although this may not be a topic for the "Garden Party", I'm keeping my eye out.

Not necessarily better. Just different. And it depends. The BenM Color Preview deck is a collection of color strings. Each strip started with a hue parent and then 6 child colors were created by reducing the formula in uniform increments. The majority of the strips in the fandeck are different values of colors from the same hue family and same (ish) chroma. Chroma being how grayed or vivid the color is. The Color Preview fandeck is unique because it is the only one out there from common, major brands that's a collection of color strings. People think every fandeck is like Preview, color strings on each strip, but they're not. In most brands, you'll find colors from different hue families on the same strip and the arrangement of value and chroma is not perceptually uniform. The Classic Colors collection was compiled and arranged by the BenM color director at the time it was developed. Which means the arrangement of colors on the strips is purely subjective. Which is why there's no rhyme or reason to the order of the colors on strips or the fandeck itself. It really depends on the project. What region, interior or exterior... it just depends... either one or both collections might be useful. Regional color is probably the biggest consideration as far as which fandeck you should reach for first. One of my least favorite "color tips" is that only 20% of the colors in any fandeck are "good" colors and no one uses the other 80%. While specifying color nationally and internationally I quickly learned WHY a fandeck has over 3,000 colors. Different colors are ideal for different regions. The % of colors that are ideal for the light and seasons in the U.S. Midwest aren't necessarily the same colors that are ideal for the Southwest region, for example. Most people only use the 20% of a collection that's well-suited to where they live.

Look at your bookcase: there are red, blue, green and yellow books....they all good good with your wall color. "In many years when he's older" he may have his own opinion as to what color his room should be. Then you can choose together...

Yaaasss! Start em young with inspiration. But, it's more about the kind of photos of vehicles you are considering representing (and for at least a few years they will be what you like to look at): cartoonish; realistic drawings; photos in the wild; studio photos. Then vibrancy of the picture: colored print/photo (full background or not); lithograph/ink; etc. Depending on the specimens you choose, you can also use the picture frame or matboard to provide the color as well, matching them or not. But all the colors you mention work with the orange.

Not to be a fuddy duddy but over the crib make sure you screw through the frames to the wall.

Hunter green, black and possibly navy go with that wall color. There are a lot of choices in bedding, so start looking and see what appeals to you that goes with the walls and flooring. You can always and buy and return things to try them out.

The Bronco is blue. Therefore you need blue.

But seriously, I can't think of any colors that would be wrong for that wall--not if they are part of a set and framed tastefully. Pink might clash...so no pink frames.

How old is he? Kids have a different faveorite color every year as they age there is IMO no color that will be the perfect one so either go very neutral and use the color of the year for stuff easily changed or be prepared to apint more often . As for the cars IMO they will work just as well on a white wall and I would use the whole set of those prints BTW IMO a childs room is their domain so not your space .

If keeping wall color, since you have a blue chair, maybe continue with blue when accessorizing.
