Oh, actually I guess the bigger Social Security raise was unexpected!! Woohoo to that!!

I have gotten( i like to think beacuse of ) a few small things, like a safeway gift card, and I won a small room size heater in a drawing along with the latest being that my meds were 5 dollars cheaper. I will be just as happy with small blessings as if they were large ones because I did not expect any of them.

DD and I both buried the money just for fun and its also fun to find an off the wall cause to give it to. Not superstitious but I did receive a 50% larger than expected farm check a week later and thought about burying the money when i saw the amount.

"correlation does not imply causation" refers to the inability to legitimately deduce a cause-and-effect relationship between two events or variables solely on the basis of an observed association or correlation between them. Or Proof Superstition is live a well. :(

buried ... dug up. HS girl hit my car and totaled mine. Her insurance way undervalued my car ( especially in the current economy) ... so hoping for better this year ...

You know, I did get a very unexpected raise at work. I forgot all about burying the money. I do it every year and add it to my one cat's stash of dollar bills. She loves to play with them. After she passes, her money will be donated to a cat rescue.

I really don't know for sure what the origin is. I have been doing it for a very long time now. We did get an unexpected check in the mail from a former company we used for a while. It has paid for me every year, sometimes big sometimes small. 😁
