Help me decorate a toddler’s room

Addie Mkami

The room is for a 14-month old girl.

Unfortunately, I’m not allowed to paint the walls or switch out carpets.

Currently using baby’s play mat while I figure out a style and color of rug that’ll work for the space. Some suggestions would be great.

I will be switching out the light fixture for something softer. I’ll also be putting up a curtain road and add blackout curtains. I am torn about the color of the curtain because I think they’ll determine the rest of the color palette. I am drawn to neutral and muted colors. I would like to experiment with some earthy colors without turning the room into a boho style.

I plan on adding a reading nook between the crib and dresser. Most likely square memory foam floor pillows with some decorative pillows here and there.

I would appreciate any advice you can offer. Thank you!
