You need some warm accents. Right now it is a very “chilly” scheme. Your whites are different…floor is a stark white, your upper cabs are creamier and you're adding another white for the counter. I’d start with a backsplash, blending all the tones, going as warm as possible. For the walls, give a thought to red…specifically B.M. Burnt Russet…a delicious warm red.

@likewhatyoudo are you suggesting a color for the wall that closely matches my cabinets? my trim color is SW alabaster and I did try getting a color matched that would work in my kitchen and the home and the color suggested was SW ivory lace which was an off white shade I would say white with a hint of yellow, but personally I wanted something a bit more clean and modern while this kitchen is giving me the traditional vibes. My kitchen opens up to the living room and the breakfast room, it’s quite an open floor plan. I guess I want to do something that makes the kitchen brighter and a bit more modern than traditional .

your cabs remind me of this before and after. Try and imagine the after being the same white (instead of this pale blue/green) and you'll get an idea of what you're asking. If you just look at the pic on the right and see the cabs against the white ceiling, it should give you an idea of what white walls would look like Here's alabaster compared to Simply White or cloud white (forget white dove. too dingy) the other two are neutrals that lean a little toward warm. Alabaster can look pretty 'yellowish'. don't know if you'd want that tone next to the countertops If you have any plants on changing countertops, i'd wait on paint color. Look into Pre-fab countertops. for you kitchen you could do the counters for about 1500-1800 using a prefab. they come in quartz, marble, granite, etc. prefabs come looking like this, usually in 6' or 9' lengths. cost is usually 500-600 bucks. you hire a fabricator to come on site to cut them to your kitchen size don't know where you live. Some states these are very easy to obtain, others not so much.

My home is about 40 years old, moved in a year or so ago and I’m ready for a change. they currently are a medium yellow and i want to go with some shade of gray to coordinate with my furniture and accessories. I‘m repainting kitchen cabinets and all walls except 3 main floor bedrooms. I’m considering a darker gray/beige for cabinets (they aren't in very good shape but with elbow grease, I’ll be able to get them to look nice. Currently, they are stained dark brown). I want the kitchen walls to be light gray or gray/beige family with darker gray for dining area and living room (fortunately, the way the walls come together, it’ll be easy to change up paint color between kitchen and dining room which are open concept but all on smaller side). The color I choose for dining area and living room will also go down a long hallway (off the kitchen) to the bedrooms. I have white baseboards, doors and woodwork around doors. The hardwood floors are lighter brown and countertops have some gray, beige with specs of dark brown with a very small amount of black specs. I plan to change out hardware to matte silver. thank you for any suggestions, i really dont know where to start with color and i have my heart on the gray family of color. attached photos.
