Hosta Noid 2021 ............
Comments (32)Thank you for the suggestions. I am going to keep them in mind and compare during this season and take pics of blooms, etc. I would guess it's a more recent introduction. I honestly thought it would be easier to Identify because it's a little different, but oh well, I guess I don't need a name to enjoy it :) . I love the hosta variety at homestead perennials- she often has a lot of the newer introductions and it is only 10 minutes from my house. But she doesn't tend to label her plants well, which drives me a little crazy to occasionally have to rely on my knowledge or her memory for an ID. Still..... Everything I've purchased there has grown fast and is healthy, and she has a lot of stuff I can't find anywhere else without paying for shipping, plus amazingly so far she has never been wrong on an ID she has given me (that I know of)....See MoreHosta Yellow 2021 ..............
Comments (27)I have a lot of yellow. Even my conifers are yellow. I've heard most psychotics love yellow, but I don't listen to me anymore. I love the multi-hued yellows when placed in the right lighting like Frisian Pride. and Gilt by Association might be my favorite. You can really tell how the sun hits the front edge of it earlier than the rest of the plant. Golden Falls - one of hosta_maker's that should really start to pop this year. H.F. Comments (24)i've got a couple that are close but need more time. they all basically come out of the mcwilliams line. like wildest dreams. i grow streakers from it every year. it takes alot of plants to get a good variegated one. usually takes years to settle, and its unpredictable. too much white either way and it won't grow well enough, or they burn out too much. ...so 15 years working with that one. interesting. i bought a red cadet this year. so will try those genes as well. although driven by the mother riptide. apparently blue cadet came out of tokudama. there are alot of species that people don't work with much anymore. the problem is they stayed too much within their bloom period. i aim to change that....See MoreHosta Sun Lovers 2021 ...
Comments (13)Paula especially love the duck & no secrets in the garden. So nice everyone. old_dirt it certainly has adapted! When I checked the list there are so many sun lovers. Here are a very few. BME Lemon Frost Powder Blue is not on the list but should be for me. It gets sun until at least 3:00. Lemon Lime with June & Borwick Beauty (Don still lists it as Color Glory) behind. Royal Standard is at the top. Here you go Ann. Praying Hands with Winter Snow behind. WS is very sun tolerant....See MoreShadow -4A-NB Canada
