Comments (17)This one was a bonus and I managed to leave the label too long without recording it. It is q1uite pretty, so I left it. This is supposed to be a Munson but the lady I got it from didn't know its name. It is such a good bloomer and matched a rose I had next to it that I kept it and can't imagine getting rid of it. I will have to find the photo of "Fay's Lovely Mistake" although I have posted it on the forum before, but when I find it, I will post again and maybe someone is looking that hasn't seen it before. kay...See MoreJune 2021 in my hosta garden
Comments (46)Utog, I have so admired yours and others Parisian Silk so much so that I ordered one. Unfortunately the vendor said it did not come through the winter well so they cannot ship it. I told them to pick a hosta for me letting them know I have space for sun tolerant as well……..sigh……..will have to wait another year. I could find it elsewhere maybe, but still waiting on two orders……one includes Tattoo……. :-) debra...See MoreHosta D 2021 ............
Comments (56)Debra, I know you will be fine. But it still sucks to have to go through what you do! Do what you have to do this winter so that you can have fun when the weather gets better! I can understand the loss of both parents. My father died in 2005 and my mother died in 2014. It is strange that they are not here anymore. My mother and I were close and I still miss her every day. Steve, I agree that it was so good that your dad found love again! My father-in-law did also find another love after my mother-in-law died. They didn't married. Too complicated. But they had a relationship for almost 10 years. My father-in-law passed away in 2007---and his girlfriend is turning 99 this week!...See MoreHosta F 2021 ......................
Comments (71)The last pic in the Hosta Library shows the effects of sun/shade on First Frost. The full shade one does look green on the edges. I wonder if Autumn Frost reacts the same way. I've never seen Ben Vernooij do this. It just seems to get lighter for me. Although, pics in the Hosta Library do show it with greenish edges. Its hard to know when those pics were taken. I've always assumed it was just color variation early in the season. Perhaps that is the difference. Now I need some more Hosta so I can experiment....See Moreperen.all Zone 5a Ontario Canada
