Granite help needed, please!

Does anyone have experience or advice for getting stubborn rust stains out of granite? we moved into our new home a few months ago. the kitchen countertops are a light granite, which we don’t mind — we love the color; unfortunately the previous homeowners never sealed/polished the stone so a couple of spots are stained near the sink. We’d like to remove them before sealing.

We hired someone to come out and do it — they came a few times and sealed the unstained areas, then started treating the stains with the intention of coming back to seal those spots later. they began the treatment but then ghosted us. I’m too busy/discouraged/annoyed to keep chasing this guy to come back, so we’re open to ideas for fixing ourselves. any ideas how to get the stains out (or even just lighten the stains… am ok if it’s not perfect, just want to improve it at least before sealing that area)? thanks!

putting photos for reference, referring to the orange rust stains.
