Is anyone thinking about the coming holidays?

If it were the mobs, I'd be happy roasting a turkey and braising a brisket for Seder, and making all the usually slews of vegetables. With a maximum of ten, it would be one or the other and doesn't excite me at all. For the veg, it sounds great--one fewer day chopping! Duck, while easily available, isn't universally loved. I'm not sure I could fit enough chickens in one small oven unless I cut it up, but no idea how I'd prepare it if I did, and how to manage the timing. (Fish/seafood, pork and veal are out of the running. Period. As is anything requiring any kind of flour other than finely ground matzah.) We don't have the tradition of not eating lamb, but I'm not sure I can source the really good stuff.

It all sounds like a lot of work for few people, but I've already heard from those who want and expect a Seder (by rights).

Any ideas of something interesting to make that is fairly easy/quick prep and tolerant of inexact serving time?
