I do Not like this color of Kitchen Backsplash. need Help.

I’m Not liking this color of the kitchen tile backsplash. It does Not seem to go with my granite counter or white cabinets. When you walk in the house, the color sorta slaps you in the face. Thank goodness, the grout is not yet in place!! What can I do the lighten the color of the ceramic tiles? How can I make this blend better? I checked into the price to tear out & replace with a lighter color tile & it’s quite expensive. Suggestions & advice welcomed. Thank You

with the all white kitchen and just the straight run of tile I'd leave it. there is plenty of white/ good amount of window space/ the look is balanced The granite counter is very ordinary[not a bad thing] ...the tile gives some focus/ its not a huge amount of area. I'd focus on grout color options and keep it. some bold hardware would play off the darker tile area right under the cabinets now. Its a beautiful warm tile /VRBO below comments on the install..I thought it looked good.

The splash itself is fine. The install and lack of under cabinet lighting is not.

For decades, people had 4" backsplashes except behind the stove, where it was larger. Many people, wallpapered above the backsplash. This is a very dated look today! A nice backsplash pulls everything together and gives a seamless look in a room (the kitchen) which tends to be choppy.

To be honest, we have had a lot of problems with Compaq. I would not recommend them. I do like the material but it has been a headache. We also just got a new piece of quartz that was supposed to match and the new one has black dots which was does NOT match any of the other pieces. They claim that it is supposed to have black dots but we would never have ordered this material with Black dots that does not match our other pieces. We are really disappointed. We are in the south Florida area.

Mariana, just read all the responses to your very cheerful request for input. Congratulations on your new home! I wondered if the furnishings pictured were yours or the sale pics - was guessing latter as didn’t seem to match your voice! My 2 cents is on the side of waiting & spend very little now. The change to your furnishings will be a major change. The only items I’d spend $$ on now is those 3 wildly different light fixtures! I’ve never seen a ceiling fan like that in a kitchen. I’d also change out the glass in upper cabinets. Depending on your dishes & / or your tidiness level, maybe look at glass that hides contents & has different vibe. Something like reeded or ribbed glass. Paint would also be a great backdrop for your preferred colors. That‘s all I’d spend any $$ on now. Then I’d live in the house for year or two to give you the chance to learn what works for you and what needs to change. The thought of taking on painting cabinets makes me want to hide under the covers!

It's not bad -- I'd leave it, it will look different and better when it's grouted, and when you get all your items back on the counter your eye won't be as drawn to it. My eye went right to that beautiful big window you have :0)

Use a light colored grout.

Thank you everyone for your input. I really appreciate it! After the Marble Beige Grout was installed & the appliances put into place, the backsplash was not so bold. I decided to stay with it.
