Crunchy! I need that bite.

Smooth for me, crunchy for DH. There are 2 jars in the cupboard.

Growing up, for whatever reason, it was not in my house. When I went to sleepaway camp, it was the typical "subsitute" meal offered if someone didn't like what was served ( peanut butter and jelly). I tried it and never cared for it until I had kids. I tried it again probably 35 years ago and saw the light.

I love it. Currently I prefer crunchy but will very happily devour smooth or creamy.

I am making up for lost time.

None for me thanks. Have never ever ever liked peanut butter of any kind, I can't even stand the smell of the stuff!

I did get some recently that’s too crunchy … it’s impossible to spread without decimating the bread. 😄

Crunchy, but smooth is fine. It must be unsalted. No Skippy or Jif.

Like salonva, straight from the jar is the best way and fills a between-meal void.

Crunchy with more crunchy stuff and not too sweet. Right now I am eating my usual breakfast - half of a toasted mini bagel piled high with Adam's crunchy peanut butter, chia seeds and pumpkin seeds.

I haven’t eaten it straight from the jar since college! I forgot how satisfying that is! and, for that, it must be smooth.

One of my favorite comfort snacks is (smooth) peanut butter on a graham cracker.

I grew up with Skippy. Then as an adult, raised my kids on Smuckers. But then we discovered peanut butter and other nut butters made in the local grocery store, and that’s our new fave.

Like bpath, I like both. I prefer smooth on toast and in fluffernutter sandwiches, crunchy with pb&J. But honestly, either is fine.

There is only one that has my heart - Santa Cruz Organic Dark Roasted CRUNCHY Peanut Butter. Period. End of Story

Crunchy. I can take it or leave it now now. I used to enjoy a spoonful straight from the jar now and then or spread on a banana.

Smooth ….in a pie.

Use a chocolate crumb pie crust - 9” (store bought is not a sin) with this filling.

• 1 cup creamy peanut butter
• 4 oz. cream cheese
• 1 cup powdered sugar
• 1 ½ cups heavy cream
• 1 teaspoon cream of tartar (optional)

OPTIONAL

• 2 tablespoons chopped peanuts or chocolate curls or fudge sauce dribbles
• ¼ teaspoon flakey sea salt

• In a medium sized mixing bowl, beat 1 ½ cups of heavy whipping cream with 1 teaspoon cream of tartar until stiff peaks form. Place in the fridge to keep cold.

NOTE NOTE: some people substitute Cool Whip

• In a large mixing bowl, beat the cream cheese, peanut butter and powdered sugar until smooth.

• Use a large spatula to gently fold half of the whipped cream into the peanut butter mixture. Fold in the remaining whipped cream and pour the filling into the prepared pie crust.

• Smooth the top of the filling and sprinkle with chopped peanuts or chocolate and flaked sea salt. Chill for at least 3 hours to set the center.

Only smooth-and only time I like PB is on PBJ Sandwich, which I rarely have. Hated PB when I was a kid.

salonva, you and my husband would get on well. In our house peanut butter is a major food group and he eats it, usually straight out of the jar, just about every day as a snack. We always have some Jif smooth in the house, but he usually buys the freshly ground stuff from the local nut shop. If I had been allergic to peanuts he wouldn't have married me. :-)

I like Trader Joe's chunky unsalted. I got some freshly ground from Whole Foods recently and it was awful and threw it out.

Crunchy all the way! Kraft just peanuts or the Superstore brand President's choice version here in Canada. I like to eat it with bananas. Sometimes it is a sandwich sometimes not.

Crunchy or smooth, doesn't matter to me. I will maintain, however, that a peanut butter and jelly sandwich is best enjoyed outdoors, with a view.

I pretty much have disliked peanut butter since I was a young kid. I can handle a peanut butter cookie, if it's homemade, but I have not eaten a PBJ since I was four years old. Being a good mom, though, I did not pass that dislike on to my kids, and they grew up eating them. I mentally cringed as I made them, though (LOL)!

Smooth but I like a handful of peanuts as an afternoon snack. I just don't want to be crunching peanuts in my peanut butter.

For hiking it's peanut butter and marmalade sandwich.

I love peanut butter and also consider a food group of its own. A peanut butter and honey sandwich is a quick lunch for me many days.

Crunchy and am with DLM on the Santa Cruz brand, but I'll buy any organic, unsalted crunchy pb and be happy. Peanut butter and dill pickle sandwiches for me, or Pb with an apple.

Not thinking about the kind of peanut butter, I served my 3 year old grandson a crunchy peanut butter and he said this sandwich has rocks in it. He didn't eat it.

One of my favorite snacks is an apple with peanut butter. I buy the fresh ground crunchy honey-roasted peanut butter from my favorite local grocery store, the iconic and wonderful Berkeley Bowl. I eat it pretty much every day. Maybe I’ll have some right now…

I hear you Chinacat. I think I am going to have some almond butter on a graham cracker. I am trying to avoid buying new dishes (Oak) and colorful glassware (Sue). If I hadn't met some of you, I'd think y'all are just chatbots delivering me up to the military industrial complex.

Mtn, I LOVE Graham crackers! I like mine sandwiched with a little bit of butter- my mom turned me on to that.
