all-refrigerator - Electrolux, Kenmore, Frigidaire or Whirlpool?
Comments (24)I have model E32AR75JPSO Ummmmm, I don't think that I really regret anything. I love the fridge as a whole and love the ability to store the things we use most often, very easily. It would be nice if the produce drawer was easier to remove and wash, but it's not like it's impossible. We go through produce so quickly ( I have to restock a couple of times a week) now that we've changed our eating habits. Well, OK. Maybe 2 full levels of produce drawers, but I've never seen a fridge that offers that. For cleaning, a simple wipe out with vinegar and water spray is enough before it's filled to the brim again. I also haven't looked into getting anything else. My produce keeps for a very long time. We have a ton of space and can see/reach everything easily. The temp is consistent. The only other thing I'd change is how DH opens the door. For some reason, he thinks he's in a tug-o-war match and the fridge ends up moving around as a result. I don't have the same issue, so he's just heavy-handed. I need to figure out how to keep it from moving when others yank on it. But, you don't have to yank unless you want to open it immediately after it closes. Let it stabilize and it's super easy....See MoreAnybody know the lineset specs for Puron or 410A?
Comments (3)That unit can accept a 5/8x3/8, 3/4x3/8, or 3/4x7/8 lineset. Most likely you current have a 3/4x3/8 or 7/8x3/8 lineset with the current 3 ton. Carrier reports no capacity loss with either of these two sizes for up to an 80 foot run (5/8 vapor line does have a small percentage of capacity loss, 1-2%). Not an issue to reuse the lines as long as they are reused properly. I'm familiar with the flush kits, although some brands just advice cleaning the lines out with nitrogen and fully evacuating them. As long as they follow the proper procedure to reuse the lines, there is nothing to be concerned about. Linesets cannot always be replaced, even though it's never a bad idea....See MoreAnyone have the Electrolux Icon Pro CD Fridge w/ Trim Kit?
Comments (6)I just bought that fridge w/o the trip kit. Actually I did not even know there was a trim kit; the cabinets are ordered so it is too late now. I had read all the reviews about the ice maker but went with it anyway because it is quiet and most of the newer fridges are so noisy. I replaced a fairly new Samsung that I loved other than the noise - you could hear it 3 rooms away. The freezer drawer on the Samsung was better, this one is a little flimsy IMO, but I like the way the ice maker works and just hope and pray it keeps working. LOL...See MoreHas anyone used a trim kit w/ 36" freestanding fridge?
Comments (8)Electrolux Icon actually does sell a trim kit for their 36" freestanding side by side. But I don't want an Elux and their fridge is less than 69" tall, therefore the kit is a little too short to use with the other brands of SxS I'm considering (they are all between 70-72). I'd like to take this same idea and find a trim kit that can be used with another make/model. Basically, I want the look of a built-in without paying the price for one. It's a new build so I'm not bound by any existing measurements yet. But I will need to find out whether or not I can do this before I order my cabinets....See MoreTim in Delaware
