Annie, a lot of Toths carvings have fallen victim to insects and or weather. Most were done in the early 1970's through the mid 1980's. As DH and I traveled around the country on a motorcycle, we made an effort to see as many as we could. We have pictures of 31. I don't have anything for this theme today, but seeing roxsol's picture reminded me that I lived in San Francisco at the time that Mayor Moscone and Harvey Milk were assassinated. I worked just down the street and all hell broke loose when that happened. I also had met Mayor Moscone and shook his hand when he was running for Mayor. He was a nice man. What a sad and chaotic time that was. :(

I just want to say how much I enjoy these threads. Seeing other people's photos, and all our  interpretations of Annie's challenges, is fascinating. Going back through my own photos to contribute is bringing back memories of things I had almost forgotten.  Thanks to everyone who participates.
