Two BM whites I like are Swiss Coffee and Cotton Balls. Best way to choose a color paint is using color samples on the walls in question and then noticing how the paint looks at different times of day and night. Check you lighting in this room too to insure you have light that is flattering to you and the room. I like daylight bulbs.

IMO a dark room does not get brighter with wall color the only way to brighten a dark room is good lighting . Can we see what you have for lighting. If you have pot lights change all the bulbs to LED 4000K . If you do not have pot lights either get them of replace the center light with track light the same LEDs and depending on how big the kitchen is you might need more track light . So post a pic of the space showing the lighting you already have . BTW mixing whites can be very tricky so with the white beadboard I would probably look at something else .

Paint can help, but only so much without something to illuminate it. Swap out that ceiling light for something more and brighter, that pretty hanging light over the sink swapped out for something more and brighter. Add in under-cabinet lighting. Make sure you got bright bulbs in those pots over the stove, and consider adding in more pots.

Ditto on the new light. The one you have is ugly, so you can get something prettier and brighter

I agree, no color paint, white etc, will make your room any brighter if you dont have enough lighting in it. Make sure all your bulbs are led daylight bulbs. Lighting is the only thing that is going to give you a lighter brighter room.

Agree that lights are what make a room brighter. That said, the BM Cotton Balls suggestion from threers is worth investigating. I've got a dark upstairs hallway that was vastly improved by painting the walls Cotton Balls. It's a soft cream color with green undertones. Clean, and oddly warm and cool at the same time--like January sunshine. Worth getting a sample to put against your cabinets.

You can see from the dining room, its not the paint color, its the lighting, and that darn leftover part where you took down overhead cabinets.

You need to spend several thousands with a lighting designer and an electrician. Paint ain’t gonna cut it.

Lighting is important, too. However, your kitchen doesn't have to be an operating room.

I am more familiar with Sherwin Williams products, but Greek Villa is a warm white with a slight green undertone. I would look into a rectangular LED light on a dimmer to replace the semi-spherical flush mount light. You can also set the the warmth of the light.

Consider ordering some cheap battery-operated LED wafer lights on Amazon. You could stick them up in a few places to test the overall effect. If it helps, you know it's worth it to install permanent lighting, recessed or other.

Where is the outer edge of your soffit, relative to your countertop edge? My one concern about recessed lights is whether the soffit is going to block light distribution on that side of the light. Track lighting with small cans that extend to the soffit edge might work better? Not a lighting expert, throwing that idea out there for better-informed Houzzers to comment on.

Adding recessed lighting is not as difficult or as expensive as some would think, using the integrated LED units made for such a project. You can get those that look like traditional pot lights, or the newer style wafer lights (that work with an ordinary junction box). At the very least, swap out the current light bulbs to LEDs that are 3000-4000k (to my eyes, 3000 is white enough, but others prefer the somewhat cooler light of 4000k) before you try to decide on the colors to get samples of.

Are the walls in your adjacent room really yellow, as they appear to me?

You would do best to have a sample of your tile, and a swatch of your mint green and the other white that you don't want to change, to take to the paint store to pick out possible colors. Bring the ones you select (the color swatches, not yet samples) to see how they look in your kitchen all together.

When you narrow it down to a couple, buy samples and paint large pieces of poster board to set up in the areas that will be painted - as someone else mentioned, you want to see how the color looks throughout the day, in different lighting conditions, in conjuction with your other colors.
