Question on importing bookmarks

I use Chrome on my main computer and have a large number of bookmarks and bookmarks folders in it. I want to import a Chrome bookmarks file from another computer, but that file has a lot of the same bookmarks that I already have in Chrome on my main computer. If I import this bookmarks file, am I going to have a mess with bunch of duplicate bookmarks on my main computer?

If I export/import as an html file, it doesn't duplicate bookmarks w/the same name and target, but if you had 2 bookmarks to the same target w/different identifying names for the bookmarks, you would get both.

I actually got up the courage to hit the import command. What happened was that they all went to a whole, new folder, named "Imported Bookmarks" that showed up in my Bookmarks Manager at the bottom of all my organized bookmarks. Nothing got messed up or duplicated, and I simply moved some imported sub-folders to where I wanted them in my regular bookmarks, and got rid of everything I didn't want that was left by deleting the entire Imported Bookmarks folder.

much easier if you click on bookmarks the organize bookmarks and do it from there. you can select groups at a time as Bob said. IN there you can select your folder so it is open in the right pane then hit edit and select all which will hilight all in that folder then you can delete them all or pick and choose. You can also use the move tool there to move them from one folder to another easily.

Bookmarks white paper with green arrow Manage Bookmarks.. Bookmarks folder Opera folder Amazon.com white paper icon with red arrow Download.com white paper icon with red arrow ebay with logo Yahoo white paper icon with red arrow All of these white paper icons that I won't use I'd like to delete. Yes party_music50, that's what I'm looking for. I checked out the activity tab that you suggested, I'll be curious to see if the ones with activity since the last read post will be bumped to the top or somehow will show that there are unread posts. I have been a member of some other message boards where threads w/ unread posts were marked a different color, so you could know there was something new since last time. That was very convenient.
