I use the bookmark tool bar that is part of firefox. At the top you have the 3 bars above where your tabs are, the one with file, view etc, then you have the middle one and then the bottom one that bottom one is the bookmarks toolbar and you can create a folder there on that bar and store your daily used bookmarks in there, I have mine set up with several folders like forums, mail, music etc and in each folder I have my associated sites, if you just have a few sites you want to use then you can do that with out making folders, When you are at a site you want to use, use your cursor on the address bar and grab the little icon of that web address that is at the right end and drag it onto the bookmarks toolbar, then it will become a link you can click on. to create the folders on that bar just right click on the bookmarks toolbar and choose new folder, then you can change the name to what ever you want. To put a site into that folder go to the website then right click on that folder and choose add bookmark here. If you put individual sites on your bar and want to change the name or shorten it just right click on it and choose properties and there you can change that. Here you can see how mine looks click on that a couple times to get full size. Now I only have 2 bars then my tabs I did away with my middle bar so, and moved some of the stuff that used to be on the middle bar up to my top bar, so I have that and then below that I have the bookmarks bar with my folders and fave sites there. see if that would help you out

If your 1st computer is also running Firefox you can get a add on called foxmark that coordinates bookmarks between two or more computers. It will add any bookmark that is not present on one computer that is on the other computer so it keeps both computers with the exact same bookmarks. I use it on a PC laptop and a Mac desktop and it works great.

This is a good question for people to consider. What would you miss from your computer if it were to disappear tomorrow? Documents, templates, photos and the like are the popular things. Financial data, things scanned in, address books, and such are possibly important too. I like to back up the profiles for my browsers since I've customized them. Virtally any program that has a data file could be important. Recipes? Passwords? Login names and sites? Here's a good way to get an idea of what you should back up. Keep track for a couple weeks of the programs you use and if there's data in them to back up. Make a checklist. Back it up now and do it regularly. If nothing else, back up at daylight saving time change. Or monthly or weekly or daily or hourly depending on how important the data is to you. One caution for you though, if you had viruses or malware attached to your backups, it could reinfect your computer if you bring it back so be careful. Also, do you really need a new computer? Many people get caught up with the keeping up with the Jones' syndrome when their current computer serves their needs just fine.

found the little bugger in another folder, and pulled him back to where he belonged, I must have clicked something and not realized it, but I do appreciate your input, always helpful to come here.
