I mean, in theory, sure, but those are pretty big constraints. The best change-ups usually involve taking off the peninsula and extending the counter on that side of the kitchen, but here you'd need to, I guess, remove the peninsula (flooring allowing) and put "more counter" on the opposite wall. Would that really be useful? I suspect it would probably be used as a buffet or something, being so far from the working areas of your kitchen. A better solution might be to set up a zone on that wall with the fridge and pantry cabinets, and then you could have more counter space on the current bottom wall. You'd still need to remove or shorten the peninsula to make it all work, and there would be a funny splash of empty space in that area. Plus, people usually want their fridges closer to the living spaces, not further. Maybe you could have a cafe table in the corner for morning coffee while looking out the glass doors. I dunno.

We need to see photos of the spaces in question and please write the measurements of everything on your floor plan and upload it again in the comments.

What is terrible about the kitchen? Is there functionality that's missing? Is it already built or in process?

I'm asking because moving plumbing is usually inexpensive if you have a basement or crawl space under the kitchen. However, if you are on a slab, it can get expensive, depending on how the plumbing and electrical are handled.

Yes, I was going to ask the same thing. I'm going to go out on a limb and guess:

- No landing area on the right side of the range /food would splatter on the floor next to the range.

- No drawer storage for spatulas, etc. next to the range.

- Must walk through the kitchen to reach the back door.

- Not so much counter space.

- Keep us going. What else is wrong?

We like the flooring so too much change will require us to change the floors

IMO first you get the function decided then if the floor needs to be changed you do that. If you start by saying what you can't change your answers will be very short. I too need pictures and all meaurements clearly marked but IMO the slider door is going to hamper any real help

Given the restrictions, you buy a serious kitchen table. Not something that is bought for looks, but something solid that gives a good work surface. Then you start saving for the total gut kitchen remodel that is the real solution.
