RECIPE: graham cracker crust
Comments (6)I also think the "real" crackers crushed are better than the boxed crumbs. I don't know what recipe you are using for your crust....but if you bake the crust for about 10 minutes and then cool it , before you fill it, the sugar will melt and sort of hold the crust together before you add the wet ingredients....that is assuming you have enough sugar in the recipe. Comments (5)Let me add my congratulations, Mary. I like graham cracker crust, but I love those windmill cookies. I'll bet they'd make a great crust for a cinnamon or pumpkin cheesecake kind of thing, or maybe one of those ice cream based pies... Annie...See Morechocolate cream pie
Comments (8)June, my old instructions say to use 1 1/2 cups of milk in place of the regular 2 cups (in a small box), so the filling will stay firm enough to cut. My mother likes it with a drizzle of raspberry jam, melted in the microwave.... It's all good, Happy Thanksgiving! Annie...See MoreLOOKING for: Non-graham cracker crust for key lime pie

So I guess I'm ISO a crust I can make out of crushed gingersnaps or vanilla cookies, maybe some sliced almonds crunched up in it? (my original post took 24 hours to show up - is there something wrong with this website lately?)...See MoreSooz
