Jeff Probst has said that for the first time, they will announce the winner while they are still in Fiji -- then the show will move to the studio for the remainder of the finale. I don't know, though, whether that will be at the very end of the second hour, or at the beginning of the third.

Same here, Ricard or Xander, I want Xander but I think Ricard has the edge, but yeah, it'll likely all come down to immunity. Can they both make fire?

Anyone who goes on Survivor who doesn't know how to make fire doesn't deserve to win. I just don't know how anyone can think they can get by on that show without being able to make fire.

I liked Erika. But.......................I am sooooooooooooooo surprised! Xander didn't get even one vote?! He was VERY likable...yeah...Ricard was just a gentle sweetie too. Danny was awesome! It was a really good Forty ONE!! ♥ ♥ ♥

Have I mentioned a co-worker of DH''S sold his 3 rentals; bought cattle and land in Montana?! Yellowstone?! I wonder how many people visit Fiji after watching THIS.......?

On another thread I mentioned that Danny said in his exit interview that the group didn't think much of Xander's game. I said that I thought Xander wouldn't get a single vote, but that was if Ricard was in the Final 3. I assumed Ricard would be there. But I never expected Erika to take votes from Xander.

I wasn't surprised she won, but I did not expect that many votes cast for her. I would have loved to see Ricard in the final three, I thought his game play was outstanding. Did Ricard cast the lone vote for Xander? It was an exciting season, looking forward to the next.

Xander got zero votes, Danny voted for DeShawn.

We had "unprecedented storms" roll through last night, so the TV station cut in right during tribal and never returned to programming. I'm glad this wasn't a season I was really invested in, because I would have blown a gasket. And nothing came of the storms except some branches down. Oh well

I don't know what Erika did that Xander didn't to win Survivor except that she went to Exile Island and broke an hourglass. Big whoop! They both won two challenges and survived being on the bottom, but Xander found an idol that caused him to lose his vote and he still survived. I think the rest of them may have had a personal dislike for Xander but I don't see why.

And poor Xander, even at the final tribal he thought Ricard was looking out for him when he whispered "Play your idol." Ricard was irrationally upset with Xander for not playing his idol for him and assuring him a spot in the final three and therefore the million dollars. Ricard would have never played his idol for Xander. I hope Xander sees him in a true light now after watching the show.

I also wondered why Xander didn't get any votes. He appeared to be likable to us viewers. I have nothing against Erica but Ricard outplayed everyone. I didn't like the fact that Shan and Liona wanted their race represented no matter if someone else outplayed them.

Some of these comments may reveal more about the poster than they realize.

Xander is barely 21 and has a lot to learn, despite his very exalted opinion of himself. He is obviously lacks self-awareness, and impressed no one who was on the island with him, except perhaps for his skill in challenges. Takes more than that to win!

Xander did have a high opinion of himself but he's just a kid and I guess was chubby when young and then developed into a fantastic runner. I liked him but really liked Ricard.

And if Judi is referring to me, I am the least racist person around, marched in BLM local protests, but I think contestants need to be judged and voted on their abilities and challenges, not their skin tone.
