Hello! I’m looking to buy a piece to put in this empty space (pictured below- 3rd pic is the space empty, 4th pic is what I currently have in the space). To the left of the room is a large pitted brown couch to the right is our TV with a large media table/fireplace. I’m looking for a piece to lighten up the room beige/off white color. The first two pics were suggestions just not sure if they go. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated!!!!

It's not a useless space at all, its actually quite handsome however what you have in there isn't working. The TV not being used should come out, and now that I see it from a different angle I would not use sofas in there at all. The sectional is very wrong for the space and so is the rug. Since the room is a pass-through passage, I will re-direct and say put two high-quality leather swivel chairs in there along with a small striking rug that goes in front of the fireplace, and some art on the wall where the TV now is. A pair of either of these chairs (Hancock and Moore Tulip or Poet swivels) in leather would transform the space, open it up, and you probably actually use them. I was off making a floor plan. I know you said you didn't want a sleeper, but I thought I'd try one, anyway. Here is a 72" sofa opened. I added two swivel chairs (on castors) and a coffee tab;e/ottoman (on castors) for easy moving. Now you get 3' on each side of the room for walking around.
