Pink brick house needs update!!
Comments (13)Different wavelength... Put the siding as close to the color of the brick as possible, so that it visually doesn't cut the house height. Add trim of some kind around the door, which gives it more presence, maybe also around the windows as well. A darkish band separating the brick from the siding brings your eye up. Hope that makes sense. Several photoshops, each with progressively more options. Dark band only Trim around door, + dark band raised higher. House looks taller, and front door has more presence. Could of course change door color, also! Same as above but added more trim around the windows as well. Hope that helps!...See MoreNeed advice updating PINK exterior paint over yellow brick townhome!!
Comments (13)Here is another one with a dark gray (soft black) like you suggested originally. Two views shown below. ^ The trim is F&B "Railings" color. F&B refer to it as a soft black http://us.farrow-ball.com/railings/paint-colours/farrow-ball/fcp-product/100031...See MoreHelp needed updating exterior of brick home. Not painting brick.
Comments (26)"Ideally, a primary or entry walkway should be at least 48" wide and even wider is [often] better." I concur 100%. Another consideration in addition to sheer usability, is that a walk's width needs to coordinate with the building architecture ... size being one of those characteristics. This walk does that in that it is equal to the full width of the opening at the porch. My guess is that the walk is 5' 4". I have no arbitrary opposition to straight walks, thinking that many of them are equal to curved walks in their potential to be beautiful. From what we are shown in the picture, either seems like it could work well. It would probably only be worth the expense of changing it if a person developed a compulsion about it, as compulsions cannot be explained by reason alone....See MoreNeed ideas for exterior paint to go with pink brick on ranch house
Comments (5)Dark gray or medium gray for the stucco above the brick - yes. Paint garage door to match the stucco color you ultimately choose. Paint your front door an accent color. Choose your accent color after you have painted the stucco and garage door. Your green front door might even work as is depending upon the stucco color you select. I like how these colors work with the brick on the insp pic below. Shutters - no. Remove them. You don't need them. Here is a brief article why they won't ever work on those windows https://www.lifeofanarchitect.com/residential-architecture-101-shutters/ Landscaping would really help with your curb appeal. It makes a huge difference on how your home is presented to the world. Here are some landscaping insp pics below to get your started: ^Wide planting beds and wide walkway leading to your home (not right up against your home)....See MoreDebbie Downer
